Primary Functions

- Conduct preventative maintenance programs including scheduled oil and filter changes, lubrication, belt and chain adjustments, tire and track inspections, alignment checks, and seasonal preparation to maximize equipment life.

- Provide technical guidance and training to operators and junior technicians on correct equipment operation, daily checks, basic troubleshooting, and safety protocols to reduce misuse-related failures.
- Implement safety checks and repairs for machine guarding, ROPS, seat belts, lights, mirrors, and emergency systems to ensure compliance with OSHA and manufacturer safety standards.
- Carry out seasonal preparations including winterization and spring commissioning—draining systems, applying corrosion protection, storing attachments correctly, and re-commissioning equipment for the upcoming season.
- Support warranty and claims processing by documenting defects, communicating with manufacturer representatives, and completing required paperwork to obtain proper credit or coverage.
- Optimize equipment performance through preventive upgrades, retrofits, accessory installations, and aftermarket modifications such as weight distribution, tire/track choices, and implement integration.
- Collaborate with parts, sales, and operations teams to plan shop workflow, prioritize emergency repairs versus scheduled maintenance, and communicate realistic timelines to customers and farm managers.
- Test-drive and field-test repaired equipment under relevant load conditions to validate repair quality, tune performance parameters, and obtain operator sign-off on completed work.
