Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Lead quantitative analysis and modeling to evaluate client business problems, including building financial models, conducting cost-benefit analysis, and producing scenario planning using Excel and SQL.
  • Conduct primary and secondary research (interviews, surveys, market reports) to validate hypotheses, gather requirements, and identify industry benchmarks that inform client recommendations.
  • Translate complex data and technical outputs into clear, client-ready insights and recommendations by crafting concise executive summaries, story-driven slide decks, and visualizations in PowerPoint and Tableau.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops and working sessions to align on scope, capture process pain points, prioritize requirements, and co-create solutions that balance business need and technical feasibility.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, issue logs, and dashboards to track milestones, dependencies, risks, and resource allocation in support of on-time project delivery.
  • Support solution design by mapping current-state processes, developing future-state workflows, and documenting detailed business and functional requirements for technology or process implementations.
  • Execute data extraction, cleaning, and transformation tasks using SQL, Excel, and Python snippets as needed to produce reliable analysis and performance metrics for client decision-making.
  • Prepare and present weekly progress updates to client sponsors and internal leadership, ensuring transparency on deliverables, timeline changes, and escalation paths.
  • Partner with technical teams (engineering, data, IT) to validate assumptions, translate business requirements into technical specifications, and test solutions during UAT and pilot phases.
  • Design KPIs and dashboards to measure post-implementation value capture, operational improvements, and adoption metrics, ensuring clients can sustain benefits after project close.
  • Perform cost and ROI analyses to quantify the business case for recommended initiatives, advising clients on investment prioritization and phased rollouts.
  • Support change management activities, including communications plans, training materials, and stakeholder adoption strategies to maximize user acceptance and minimize disruption.
  • Draft detailed proposals, statements of work, and scope-of-work documents by gathering client needs, estimating effort, and aligning on success criteria with sales and delivery teams.
  • Conduct competitive and market landscape assessments to identify growth opportunities, product gaps, and go-to-market recommendations that align with client strategic objectives.
  • Lead risk identification and mitigation planning by analyzing dependencies, regulatory considerations, and operational constraints; recommend risk controls and contingency plans.
  • Execute pilot implementations or proof-of-concept projects to validate solution hypotheses, gather user feedback, and iterate design before full-scale rollout.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—finance, marketing, operations, HR— to ensure solution designs are integrated, feasible, and aligned to broader company priorities.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation including requirements traceability matrices, test scripts, decision logs, and lessons-learned reports to support knowledge transfer and future engagements.
  • Assist in knowledge management initiatives by creating playbooks, reusable templates, and best-practice frameworks that accelerate future project delivery and maintain quality standards.
  • Support pricing, contract negotiations, and vendor evaluations by preparing comparison matrices, scoring criteria, and recommendation memos for client procurement decisions.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis using structured problem-solving approaches (e.g., MECE, hypothesis-driven methods) to isolate drivers of underperformance and propose corrective actions.
  • Mentor and onboard analysts or interns by providing clear task instructions, review cycles, and constructive feedback to build team capability and ensure consistent output quality.
  • Ensure all client deliverables meet firm quality standards, are error-checked, and reflect polished narrative flow appropriate for C-suite consumption.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Advanced Excel modeling (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, macros) for financial and operational analysis.
  • SQL for data extraction, joins, aggregations, and building reproducible queries from production databases.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker to create executive dashboards and interactive reports.
  • Familiarity with Python/R for basic data manipulation, statistical analysis, or automation tasks is highly desirable.
  • Strong financial acumen including P&L, cost modeling, unit economics, and ROI calculations.
  • Experience documenting business and functional requirements, use cases, and acceptance criteria for technical teams.
  • Proficiency creating client-ready slide decks in PowerPoint that tell a persuasive, structured story.

Educational Background

Minimum Education:
