Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Lead the development and execution of multi-year strategic plans that align departmental objectives with overall company goals, defining clear milestones, success criteria, and KPIs to measure progress and impact.
  • Own full program lifecycle management for large-scale cross-functional initiatives, including scoping, resource planning, risk management, timeline governance, and post-implementation evaluation to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Manage program-level P&L, prepare accurate financial forecasts, and work with finance to establish budget controls, cost optimization initiatives, and quarterly re-forecasts that drive measurable improvements to profitability.
  • Build, coach, and scale high-performing teams of managers and individual contributors, setting performance expectations, delivering ongoing feedback, and leading recruitment, development and succession planning for leadership roles.
  • Serve as primary stakeholder liaison for executive leadership and board-level presentations, distilling complex program status and financials into concise, data-driven reports and recommendations for decision-making.
  • Drive product, service, or operational roadmaps in partnership with product, engineering, sales, marketing, and legal to ensure alignment on priorities, dependencies, and go-to-market readiness.
  • Establish and own program governance frameworks—steering committees, RACI models, milestone reviews, and escalation paths—to ensure consistent decision-making across functions and minimize project risk.
  • Design and implement performance measurement frameworks (OKRs, KPIs, dashboards) that provide real-time visibility into business outcomes, team performance, and strategic health for stakeholders across the organization.
  • Lead change management and stakeholder communications for transformational programs, crafting messaging, training plans, and adoption strategies that minimize disruption and accelerate time-to-value.
  • Conduct rigorous customer, market, and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities, inform prioritization, and recommend strategic investments or divestments to leadership.
  • Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, strategic partnerships, and service-level agreements (SLAs), ensuring compliance, cost-effectiveness, and vendor performance aligned to business requirements.
  • Oversee regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements for programs, partnering with legal and compliance teams to embed controls and mitigate operational and reputational risk.

  • Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to inform strategic trade-offs, prioritization under uncertainty, and contingency planning for key initiatives.
  • Design and lead pilots and proof-of-concept programs to validate hypotheses, measure business impact, and scale successful experiments into production with repeatable processes.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within teams and supplier relationships, embedding equitable hiring, development, and procurement practices into everyday operations.
