Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reporting packs, and executive summaries ensuring accuracy, timely distribution, and alignment with accounting close schedules.
- Build, maintain, and automate dynamic financial models for revenue, expense, margin, and cash flow forecasting to support strategic planning, quarterly reforecasts, and ad-hoc decision-making.

- Support the annual budgeting process by collecting department assumptions, consolidating inputs, validating drivers against historical trends, and ensuring budgets are auditable and aligned with corporate objectives.
- Prepare clear, executive-ready presentations, business cases, and board materials that translate complex financial analyses into actionable insights and recommended next steps.

- Maintain and enhance financial controls, standard operating procedures, and documentation to support SOX compliance, internal audits, and scalable processes.
- Extract, clean, and analyze data sets using Excel, SQL, and scripting (VBA/Python) to validate model inputs, reconcile differences, and produce repeatable analytic workflows.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, variance analyses, and by responding to auditor requests with clear supporting evidence.
- Reconcile key balance sheet accounts, investigate reconciling items, and work with accounting teams to ensure appropriate cut-offs, accruals, and account classifications.
- Monitor working capital and cash flow, prepare short- and medium-term cash forecasts, and recommend actions to optimize liquidity and payment terms.
- Assist with the implementation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of ERP and financial reporting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) to improve data integrity and reporting cadence.
- Drive automation and process improvement initiatives, leveraging tools such as Power Query, macros, or RPA to reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and accelerate reporting cycles.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to evaluate capital expenditure requests, ROI of initiatives, and financial implications of business opportunities or operational changes.
- Ensure all financial reporting and analysis adhere to GAAP/IFRS standards and internal accounting policies, escalating technical accounting questions when appropriate.
- Maintain awareness of market and industry trends, competitor performance, and macroeconomic indicators to provide context for financial results and support strategic planning.
- Mentor and train interns or junior analysts on financial reporting processes, modeling best practices, and use of reporting tools to build team capacity.
- Manage recurring operational reporting tasks such as commission calculations, accruals, prepaid/amortization schedules, and expense allocations with accuracy and documentation.
