- Monitor and report supplier KPI performance (on‑time delivery, quality PPM, lead time variance, cost variance), lead supplier scorecards and conduct regular business reviews to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with design engineering, program management and quality on change control, ECOs (engineering change orders), part obsolescence and nonconformance resolution to minimize program disruption and expedite root‑cause corrective actions.
- Maintain and analyze bill of materials (BOM) and demand forecasts; partner with demand planning and inventory teams to optimize order quantities, safety stock and minimize working capital while preventing shortages.
- Evaluate and manage supplier risk (financial, geopolitical, capacity, single‑source), develop contingency plans, dual‑sourcing strategies and qualify alternate suppliers to protect production continuity.
- Coordinate logistics and inbound planning activities for import/export components including Incoterms negotiation, customs documentation, freight optimization and supplier compliance with delivery packaging standards.
- Lead cross‑functional supplier audits and on‑site assessments to validate process controls, capacity, quality systems (IATF16949) and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and maintain cost models, total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses and landed cost calculations including tariffs, duties, freight, duty mitigation strategies and inventory carrying costs.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI): align sourcing timelines with APQP gates, secure supplier commitments to proto/sample timelines, and ensure timely PPAP level approvals for production release.
- Implement supplier development programs (lean, Six Sigma, process capability improvement) and manage supplier corrective actions (8D) when quality or delivery metrics fall short.
- Administer contract lifecycle management: review and manage terms & conditions, NDAs, IP clauses, warranty, indemnity and liability requirements with legal and compliance teams.
- Work with finance for invoice reconciliation, supplier payment terms, accruals, and monthly cost saving reporting to capture realized vs. target savings.

- Champion sustainability and compliance initiatives by ensuring supplier adherence to regulatory, environmental, REACH/ROHS requirements and corporate supplier codes of conduct.
- Facilitate cross‑functional trade‑offs between cost, quality, lead time and risk during make/buy decisions and sourcing selection evaluations.
- Support escalations during program launches and production disruptions: coordinate war rooms, rapid supplier recovery actions and expedite orders to meet critical customer demand.
- Maintain accurate sourcing documentation and supplier records in PLM/ERP systems to support audits and program traceability requirements.
Secondary Functions
