Primary Functions

  • Upsell high-margin drinks, featured cocktails and pairings by describing flavors and recommending add-ons to increase average check and drive revenue.
  • Maintain the bar area and service stations in a clean, organized, and sanitary condition throughout the shift; follow opening, closing and cleaning checklists to meet health code standards.
  • Monitor guest behavior and consumption levels; intervene professionally if signs of intoxication appear and coordinate with management on safe exit options or calling a ride service.
  • Handle cash, process credit/debit card and contactless payments, and complete accurate ticket closing and cash-outs; balance cash drawer and submit receipts according to company protocol.
  • Support beverage inventory management by reporting low-stock items, rotating stock, and assisting with weekly counts and restocking to the bartender or manager.
  • Follow standardized recipes and pour controls to ensure consistency and cost control across beverage service; measure and record waste or spills when required.
  • Assist with opening and closing responsibilities including setting up glassware, stocking garnishes and disposables, preparing service stations, and locking and securing bar areas.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, hosts and managers to coordinate orders, timing, and special requests such as allergen accommodations or dietary substitutions.
