Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions

- Collect and label in-process and post-process samples per QA procedures and deliver to the lab for analysis, ensuring sampling integrity and accurate chain-of-custody documentation.
- Perform line changeovers and clean-in-place (CIP) or washdown procedures between product runs, following written SOPs and sanitization schedules to prevent cross-contamination and uphold food safety standards.
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical issues on batching equipment, escalating complex faults to maintenance while logging downtime, root cause, and corrective actions.

- Ensure accurate labeling, intermediate product staging, and packaging handoffs so downstream processes receive correctly batched and identified materials.

- Train and mentor new batch operators on batching procedures, safety rules, and equipment operation, contributing to standardized training materials and competency assessments.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing process feedback, suggesting improvements to batching accuracy, cycle times, or material handling to minimize waste and increase throughput.
- Maintain strict adherence to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and company safety programs, reporting near-misses and participating in safety audits and corrective action plans.
- Operate forklift or pallet jack as needed for raw material staging and finished goods handling, following certified operator training and warehouse safety protocols.
- Ensure environmental controls (temperature, humidity, dust management) are within specified ranges for sensitive products and record deviations according to SOPs.
