Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial and mental health assessments, including DSM-5 diagnostic interviews, standardized screening tools (PHQ-9, GAD-7, CAGE-AID), and suicide/homicide risk assessments to establish clinical need and level of care.
  • Develop individualized, measurable treatment plans in collaboration with clients and families that define goals, therapeutic interventions, expected outcomes, and discharge criteria; update plans regularly based on progress and new information.
  • Provide trauma-informed individual counseling using evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills coaching, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and solution-focused brief therapy to address mood disorders, anxiety, PTSD, and SUD.
  • Facilitate structured therapeutic groups (skills training, relapse prevention, psychoeducation, process groups) for varied populations and adapt curricula to client needs, cultural background, and developmental stage.
  • Deliver crisis intervention and stabilization services including safety planning, de-escalation techniques, emergency coordination, and timely referral to higher levels of care when indicated.

Minimum Education:

Experience Requirements
