Primary Functions

  • Execute daily cash handling procedures, including collecting payments, providing correct change, reconciling cash drawers at shift end, and recording discrepancies according to company policies.
  • Monitor and rotate stock on the cart to maintain freshness; perform temperature checks on refrigerated items and follow first-in/first-out (FIFO) to minimize waste and ensure food safety compliance.

  • Deliver targeted upselling and suggestive-selling techniques (promotional combos, specialty drinks, signature items) with a guest-focused approach to increase per-guest spend while maintaining high service standards.
  • Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and minor complaints on the spot with calm, solution-oriented communication; escalate unresolved issues to supervisors in a timely and documented manner.
  • Adhere to all health and safety protocols for operating a motorized beverage cart, including safe driving practices on turf and pathways, securing items during transit, and using approved personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Coordinate with kitchen, bar, and supply teams to ensure special orders or out-of-stock items are fulfilled quickly, communicating lead times and substitutions to guests transparently.
  • Participate in pre-shift and post-shift huddles to receive updates on specials, VIPs, course conditions, and operational reminders; contribute feedback on inventory trends and guest preferences.

  • Train and mentor new beverage cart staff on route etiquette, POS procedures, upselling techniques, safety rules, and guest-service expectations to ensure consistent experience across shifts.
  • Assist with minor maintenance and cleaning of beverage cart equipment — emptying ice wells, sanitizing dispensers, tightening fittings, and reporting larger mechanical issues for repair.
  • Maintain detailed records of special orders, tabs, and on-account billing arrangements for golf groups, tournaments, or events, ensuring accurate invoicing and follow-up coordination.
