Primary Functions
- Serve as the primary point of contact for brides, listening to their wedding vision and providing personalized recommendations for wedding gowns, veils, and accessories to match style, budget, and timeline.

- Coordinate with in-house or third-party alteration teams to communicate fit issues, approve alteration plans, and schedule final fitting appointments to ensure timely completion before wedding dates.
- Maintain detailed client records in the boutique’s CRM or POS system, including measurements, preferences, ordering details, alteration notes, and important dates (wedding date, final fitting).
- Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems, manage deposits and payment plans, issue receipts, and ensure compliance with boutique policies regarding returns, exchanges, and deposits.
- Curate and style complete bridal looks by selecting veils, jewelry, shoes, and undergarments; provide fit solutions and layering strategies that enhance the gown silhouette.
- Host trunk shows and designer appointments, presenting new collections to clients, managing RSVPs, and working with brand representatives to secure exclusive order opportunities.
- Prepare gowns for appointments by steaming, steaming logistics, hanging, and ensuring inventory organization so each try-on experience is high-touch and professional.
- Perform inventory management tasks including receiving shipments, tagging garments, tracking in-stock units versus ordered styles, and reporting low stock or reorder needs to the manager.
- Offer accurate and compassionate guidance during dress selection, handling sensitive topics such as body image, sizing inconsistencies, budget constraints, and timeline anxiety with discretion and confidence.
- Leverage social selling and boutique marketing initiatives—refer clients to the store’s social channels, contribute to photo shoots, and obtain client photo release permissions to support marketing content.
- Follow up consistently with prospective clients who did not purchase during the appointment to uncover concerns, offer alternative options, and convert future sales.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior stylists and floor staff on fitting techniques, sales best practices, and boutique standards to ensure consistency in client experience.
- Troubleshoot order delays, communicate proactively with clients about timing changes, coordinate rush orders when needed, and escalate vendor or production issues to management.
- Maintain showroom standards by organizing sample gowns by size and style, ensuring dressing rooms are clean and welcoming, and arranging displays to highlight best sellers and seasonal collections.
- Track and report appointment conversion rates, average sale value, and other KPIs to support manager-level forecasting and merchandising decisions.
- Stay current on bridal industry trends, emerging designers, fabric technologies, and popular wedding aesthetics to provide contemporary, trend-informed styling advice.
- Handle difficult conversations professionally—manage unhappy clients, returns, or damage claims, and collaborate with management to resolve escalations while protecting the boutique’s reputation.
