Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Lead end-to-end production of live or pre-recorded programs—conceptualize show formats, develop segment rundowns, assign stories, and ensure each episode meets editorial goals, time constraints, and brand standards.

- Direct and supervise studio and remote live operations during broadcasts—cue talent, control room cues, camera blocking, graphics, audio levels, and playback of video elements.
- Oversee video editing and post-production workflows—assign edits, approve selects, manage lower-thirds and graphics assets, and sign off on final deliverables for broadcast and digital distribution.
- Balance editorial priorities and sponsor/commercial requirements—integrate commercials, underwriting spots, and promotional content while protecting editorial independence and viewer experience.

- Monitor audience metrics (ratings, streaming analytics, social KPIs) and use performance data to refine show formats, segment pacing, and content strategy to grow audience and advertiser value.
- Lead editorial meetings and daily planning sessions—assign stories, set priorities, review scripts, and approve final lineups while balancing breaking news and planned segments.
- Manage talent relationships—coach hosts and on-air contributors on pacing, delivery, and interview technique; negotiate schedules and manage talent logistics.
- Develop promotional and marketing assets—concept and approve promos, teasers, and cross-promotional content in collaboration with marketing and social teams to increase tune-in and streaming viewership.

- Source and manage third-party production partners, freelance camera crews, editors, audio engineers and graphic designers—issue scopes of work, manage deliverables, and enforce quality standards.
