Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Lead end-to-end business diagnostics by gathering quantitative and qualitative data, performing root-cause analysis, and presenting clear findings and prioritized recommendations to C-suite and business unit leaders.
  • Build robust financial models and scenario analyses (including P&L, cash flow and ROI calculations) to validate strategic options, support investment decisions, and quantify anticipated benefits and risks.
  • Develop comprehensive business cases and investment proposals that include market sizing, competitive positioning, sensitivity analysis, implementation roadmaps, and KPIs to track realization.
  • Conduct market research and competitive intelligence to identify growth opportunities, new product or service ideas, pricing strategies, and potential partnership or M&A targets.
  • Advise on revenue growth strategies including go-to-market planning, pricing optimization, customer segmentation, channel strategy, and upsell/cross-sell initiatives informed by customer and financial data.
  • Design and lead cost optimization and operational efficiency projects (process redesign, organizational alignment, sourcing strategies) to improve margins without compromising service quality.
  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable project plans, define milestones, allocate resources, and work with cross-functional teams to drive execution and measure outcomes.
  • Facilitate leadership workshops and strategy sessions to align stakeholders, prioritize initiatives, and cascade strategy across divisions with clear ownership and timelines.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients or internal stakeholders during change programs — providing coaching, risk mitigation plans, communication strategies, and progress updates.
  • Drive performance management by defining KPIs, implementing dashboards, and conducting regular business reviews to monitor progress and recalibrate actions where required.
  • Lead due diligence and integration planning for strategic partnerships or acquisitions, evaluating financial impact, operational fit, and integration risks.
  • Identify regulatory and compliance implications for strategic initiatives, work with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to relevant standards, and incorporate risk controls into plans.
  • Manage complex stakeholder networks — balancing competing priorities, negotiating trade-offs, and securing commitment from business leaders across sales, operations, finance, and IT.
  • Prepare persuasive executive-level presentations and deliver concise briefings that synthesize complex analyses into clear, decision-ready recommendations.
  • Implement change-management best practices to support adoption of new processes, systems or organizational structures, including training plans, communications, and success metrics.
  • Use CRM, ERP, BI and analytics tools to extract, validate and visualize data that underpin recommendations; collaborate with data engineering where deeper data capabilities are required.
  • Identify and prioritize quick-win opportunities that deliver immediate value while sequencing larger transformation initiatives to minimize disruption.
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with external vendors, consultants and industry experts to supplement internal capabilities and accelerate delivery where needed.
  • Oversee pilot programs and phased rollouts, capture lessons learned, and scale successful initiatives across regions or business units.
  • Mentor junior analysts and advisors: review their work, coach on commercial thinking, modeling techniques, and client communication to develop a high-performing advisory capability.
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies and macroeconomic factors that could impact client strategies or the organization’s competitive position; proactively advise leadership on implications.

Secondary Functions

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Financial modeling and valuation (DCF, ROI, sensitivity analysis, break-even analysis)
  • P&L management, budgeting, forecasting and scenario planning
  • Market research, TAM/SAM/SOM sizing and competitive analysis
  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, macros) and strong quantitative skills

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Management, Engineering or a related field.

Preferred Education:

  • MBA, Master’s in Finance, Economics, or related advanced degree; professional certifications (CFA, CPA, PMP) advantageous.

Experience Requirements
