Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Design, implement, and continuously refine end-to-end operational processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs) across finance, sales, customer success, product, and fulfillment to increase throughput, improve quality, and reduce cycle time.
  • Develop and own monthly and quarterly operational plans tied to company OKRs and KPIs, translating strategic goals into clear projects, owners, timelines, and success metrics to drive organizational alignment and execution.
  • Build, maintain, and present operational dashboards and metrics (e.g., revenue funnel metrics, cycle times, unit economics, cost per acquisition, retention and churn rates) to senior leadership with actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Lead cross-functional project management for high-impact initiatives (system implementations, process re-designs, cost reduction efforts), including scoping, resource allocation, workstream coordination, risk mitigation, and stakeholder reporting.
  • Manage departmental and cross-functional budgets, including forecasting, variance analysis, and partnering with finance to ensure spend aligns with strategic priorities and delivers expected ROI.
  • Identify inefficiencies through data-driven analysis and lead process improvement programs using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen or equivalent methodologies to optimize cost, quality and throughput.
  • Own vendor and third-party partner management: evaluate RFPs, negotiate contracts and SLAs, manage vendor performance, and oversee integration plans to ensure service levels and cost targets are met.
  • Implement and scale tools, automations and integrations (CRM, ERP, BI tools, workflow automation) to reduce manual work, improve data quality and enable self-serve reporting for stakeholders.
  • Allocate resources and capacity planning across teams to ensure project delivery and avoid bottlenecks; develop contingency and scenario plans to adapt to demand shifts.
  • Operate as the single point of contact for operational escalations, directing rapid root-cause analysis and remediation plans to resolve customer-impacting or revenue-impacting issues within agreed SLAs.
  • Drive cross-functional training and knowledge transfer programs to embed new processes and tools across the organization and ensure consistent adoption and compliance.
  • Partner with HR to define hiring plans, identify role competencies, and participate in recruiting, onboarding, and performance development for operational staff.
  • Lead compliance, audit readiness, and regulatory operational processes (data privacy, SOC, ISO or industry-specific standards), coordinating with legal and security teams to close gaps and maintain certification readiness.
  • Run periodic operational reviews (weekly/monthly/quarterly) with functional leads to monitor progress, remove blockers, re-prioritize work and ensure alignment to strategic outcomes.
  • Design and maintain risk registers and business continuity plans; own scenario modeling and stress tests for supply chain, vendor dependence, and demand shocks.
  • Lead pricing and cost-to-serve analysis in collaboration with finance and sales, recommending pricing adjustments, discount policies or fulfillment strategy changes to improve margins.
  • Implement customer and partner feedback loops into operational improvement cycles; track NPS, CSAT, or other satisfaction metrics and coordinate cross-functional action plans to close gaps.
  • Develop and execute inventory management strategies (where applicable) to optimize stock levels, reduce obsolescence, and improve working capital.
  • Oversee contract and procurement workflows to ensure proper approvals, capture cost savings, and implement procurement best practices across the business.
  • Partner with product and engineering to prioritize technical investments that reduce manual work, improve data capture, and accelerate time-to-value for customers.
  • Lead integration and change-management efforts during mergers, acquisitions, or major organizational changes to harmonize processes and systems and realize synergies.
  • Conduct financial and operational modeling for new products, markets or business lines; provide decision support with sensitivity analyses and go/no-go recommendations.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by establishing metrics-driven experiments, pilots, and post-implementation reviews to validate benefits and iterate quickly.
  • Manage cross-functional initiatives that improve employee productivity, workplace efficiency, facilities, and vendor-managed services to reduce operational friction and costs.
  • Provide ad-hoc analyses to senior leadership to support strategic decisions, including scenario planning, competitor benchmarking, and analysis of emerging operational risks.

Secondary Functions

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, advanced formulas, Power Query) for operational modeling and analysis.
  • SQL proficiency to query transactional systems, build ad-hoc datasets, and validate KPI calculations for dashboards.
  • Experience with BI and dashboarding tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI or Chartio to build executive-level reporting and operational dashboards.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:
