  • Design, develop, and test automated workflows and RPA bots in partnership with automation developers; validate end-to-end processing and exception handling scenarios.
  • Drive cross-functional workshops and stakeholder interviews to capture detailed requirements, pain points, and business rules; translate findings into technical and functional specifications.
  • Build and maintain process repositories, maintain version control of process assets, and ensure all process documentation is governance-ready and audit-compliant.
  • Define, track, and report process metrics, KPIs, and dashboards in analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau) to monitor performance, measure benefits realization, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) using structured problem-solving tools (5 Whys, Fishbone/Ishikawa, DMAIC) and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Run pilot programs and phased rollouts for process changes and automation deployments; manage testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production cutover.
  • Train, coach, and enable business users and operational teams on new processes, workflows, and automated solutions; develop training materials, runbooks, and knowledge transfer sessions.
  • Establish process governance, operating models, and control frameworks to ensure consistent execution, SLA adherence, and continuous process optimization.
  • Partner with procurement and vendor management to evaluate third-party automation/BPM vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor deliverables and SLAs.
  • Lead change management activities including stakeholder communications, impact assessments, resistance mitigation, and adoption tracking to ensure sustainable improvements.
  • Conduct process simulations and scenario modeling to validate throughput, capacity constraints, and resource requirements under different future-state designs.
  • Support regulatory and compliance audits by preparing process evidence, control matrices, and remediation plans for process-related findings.
  • Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to source, validate, and transform operational data that drives process insights and enables process mining efforts.
  • Continuously scan for industry best practices, emerging automation technologies, and optimization techniques; propose innovation pilots that can be rapidly scaled.
  • Manage multiple concurrent improvement initiatives and projects, prioritizing based on strategic impact, feasibility, and expected ROI while maintaining delivery timelines and quality.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations and business reviews that summarize process performance, improvement opportunities, realized benefits, and roadmaps for future work.
  • Create and maintain risk assessments and contingency plans for critical process changes, ensuring business continuity and minimizing operational disruption.
  • Mentor junior process engineers and analysts, providing guidance on methodology, tool usage, and stakeholder engagement to build internal capability.

Secondary Functions

  • Support ad-hoc data requests and exploratory data analysis to uncover process improvement opportunities and root causes.
  • Contribute to the organization's data strategy and roadmap by identifying key operational data sources and governance needs.
  • Collaborate with business units to translate data needs into engineering requirements, ensuring analytics and process automation align.
