Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Develop, communicate, and implement a comprehensive operations strategy aligned to corporate objectives, focusing on scalable processes, operational KPIs, cost optimization, and sustainable growth across all business units.
  • Own and manage consolidated P&L responsibility, driving margin improvement, revenue retention, expense management, and forecasting accuracy through disciplined financial and operational governance.
  • Design and implement end-to-end operational processes (sales operations, fulfillment, customer success, billing, procurement) that reduce cycle time, increase throughput, and improve customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Lead cross-functional execution for strategic initiatives, including new market launches, product rollouts, pricing transformations, and digital transformations to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Build, coach and scale high-performing leadership teams (direct reports and functional heads), including hiring, succession planning, performance development, and establishing clear accountability frameworks.
  • Establish and track standardized operational metrics and dashboards (OKRs, KPIs) tied to business outcomes; institutionalize data-driven decision making and regular business reviews with functional leaders.
  • Oversee supply chain and logistics strategy, inventory planning, vendor management, and sourcing to ensure continuity, cost-effectiveness, and scalability while mitigating supply-side risks.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or OKR-led experimentation to remove operational bottlenecks and increase productivity.
  • Partner with Finance to coordinate annual planning, quarterly reforecasts, cash flow management, capital allocation, and business case evaluation for investments and M&A activity.
  • Lead integration planning and operational due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships to realize synergies and accelerate time-to-value.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and industry-specific operational standards, implementing controls, policies, and audit readiness processes across the organization.
  • Optimize customer experience by aligning operations, product, and customer success functions to reduce churn, shorten onboarding time, and increase expansion revenue from existing customers.
  • Implement enterprise systems and technology enablement (ERP, CRM, BI platforms) in partnership with IT to automate manual processes, increase accuracy, and provide real-time operational visibility.
  • Oversee contract negotiations, vendor and partner relationship management, and service-level agreements to ensure high performance and cost efficiency from third-party providers.
  • Lead organizational change management for major transformations, including stakeholder engagement, communication plans, training programs, and adoption measurement to ensure sustainable change.
  • Set and enforce operational risk management frameworks, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity strategies to minimize operational disruptions and protect reputation.
  • Champion a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and customer-centricity across functional teams, embedding values into hiring, performance management, and daily operations.
  • Drive talent development programs, cross-functional rotation initiatives, and leadership development to build bench strength and institutional knowledge across the company.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Marketing leadership on go-to-market operations, pricing execution, channel enablement, and post-sales fulfillment to align demand and supply capabilities.
  • Manage large-scale vendor, facility, and capital projects (e.g., fulfillment centers, manufacturing ramps, IT platform migrations) with rigorous program management and risk controls.
  • Provide regular, transparent reporting to the CEO and Board of Directors on operational performance, key risks, strategic priorities, and progress against growth and efficiency targets.
  • Serve as incident commander for major operational incidents (service outages, supply chain disruptions), coordinating cross-functional response, stakeholder communications, root-cause analysis, and remediation.

Secondary Functions

  • Support the executive team with ad-hoc analytics, scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to inform strategic decisions and capital allocation.
  • Lead or sponsor cross-functional strategic workstreams (e.g., pricing redesign, organizational redesign, automation program) and mentor workstream leads to ensure on-time execution.
  • Represent the company externally with partners, major customers, and regulators on operational matters and capability demonstrations.
  • Participate in M&A integration steering committees and lead the design of integration operating rhythms and playbooks.
  • Drive sustainability, ESG and corporate responsibility operational initiatives that impact sourcing, facilities, and supplier audits.

Educational Background

Minimum Education:
