Primary Functions
- Lead, schedule and prioritize daily CNC production activities for assigned cells or shifts to meet on-time delivery and customer requirements while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.

- Interpret engineering drawings and prints using GD&T principles to ensure parts are produced to specification; partner with quality to resolve tolerance and inspection issues.
- Oversee in-process inspection and final inspection activities, operate and program CMMs, and ensure measurement traceability and documentation for first articles and production lots.
- Troubleshoot complex machining problems—vibration, chatter, tool breakage, and tolerance drift—performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions that prevent recurrence.
- Maintain production reports, SPC charts and key performance indicators (OEE, yield, cycle time) to inform management decisions and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure machine preventative maintenance schedules are followed, coordinate repair activities with maintenance personnel, and minimize downtime by implementing effective MTTR and MTBF strategies.
- Enforce shop floor safety, PPE usage, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental regulations while promoting a culture of safety-first and continuous learning.
- Coordinate with production planning, purchasing and supply chain teams to manage work orders, material availability, and lead times for long-lead tooling or fixtures.
- Manage change control for process documentation, routings, and work instructions, ensuring all production staff have current, accessible procedures and tooling lists.

- Mentor operators in basic programming, tooling changes, and setup best practices to build internal bench strength and reduce reliance on external programmers.
- Support cost reduction initiatives through cycle time reduction, material utilization improvements and standardized work to positively impact part cost and margin.
- Manage supplier relationships for critical tooling, cutters, and accessories; evaluate supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of quality tooling at competitive prices.

Educational Background
Minimum Education:
