Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Lead and execute structural and construction design packages from concept through construction, including preparation of detailed structural calculations, load analyses, member sizing, and reinforcement schedules to meet applicable codes (AISC, ACI, Eurocode, ASCE, local building codes).
- Produce and review contract drawings, shop drawings, details, and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, or equivalent software; ensure drawings are fully coordinated and ready for fabrication and installation.

- Prepare detailed material takeoffs, bill of materials (BOM), and preliminary cost estimates to support procurement, budgeting and bid submissions.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces (architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, façade, civil) to resolve design conflicts, minimize RFIs and streamline the construction process.
- Respond to contractor technical queries (RFI), provide timely design clarifications, issue design revisions and field sketches, and manage design revision control throughout construction.

- Create and maintain standard details, libraries, templates, calculation spreadsheets, and design guides to promote consistency and accelerate repeatable design tasks.
- Conduct risk assessments and design hazard reviews (e.g., progressive collapse, fire loads, lateral stability) and propose mitigation strategies in collaboration with safety and operations teams.
- Support prefabrication and offsite construction initiatives by providing accurate shop drawings, tolerancing guidelines, and assembly sequence documentation for modular components.
- Collaborate with procurement and fabrication partners to resolve manufacturing constraints, provide clarifications for shop fabrication, and approve vendor-supplied drawings and submittals.
- Lead technical meetings with clients, contractors and internal teams to present design intent, alternatives, deliverable schedules, and technical justification for chosen solutions.
- Implement sustainability and durability considerations in design decisions, advising on material selection, thermal performance, moisture control, and lifecycle costs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, material innovations, construction methods, and regulatory changes; incorporate best practices into ongoing design work.
- Coordinate temporary works and construction sequencing with temporary shoring, propping and façade access plans to ensure safe and efficient onsite execution.

Educational Background
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Construction Engineering.
