Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end curriculum and training programs aligned to organizational competencies, regulatory standards, and measurable learning outcomes; create sequenced lesson plans, facilitator guides, participant materials, and assessment instruments.
  • Lead facilitation and delivery of instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (VILT), blended learning, and self-paced e-learning modules for diverse audiences including new hires, managers, and subject-matter experts.
  • Conduct needs analysis and competency mapping by partnering with business leaders and subject-matter experts (SMEs) to translate performance gaps into prioritized learning objectives and curricular scope.
  • Create and maintain robust assessment frameworks including pre/post tests, formative checks, rubrics, simulations, role-play scenarios, and performance-based evaluations to measure knowledge transfer and skill mastery.
  • Develop and deploy train-the-trainer programs to certify internal facilitators, ensuring consistency in delivery, evaluation, and participant experience across locations and channels.
  • Author and publish e-learning using industry-standard tools (Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Rise, Lectora), ensuring SCORM/xAPI compliance and seamless LMS integration for tracking and analytics.
  • Configure and administer Learning Management Systems (LMS) — upload content, enroll learners, manage learning paths, configure reporting, automate notices, and ensure accurate training records.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness using learning analytics, Kirkpatrick levels, completion rates, pass/fail metrics, ROI estimates, and qualitative learner feedback to identify improvements and report outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies for varied learner needs, accessibility requirements (WCAG), cultural contexts, and language localizations to maximize engagement and inclusivity.
  • Maintain and update curricula to reflect policy changes, product updates, compliance requirements, and evolving best practices in pedagogy and learning technology.
  • Design practical application activities such as case studies, on-the-job assignments, coaching checklists, and job aids that drive transfer of training into performance improvement.
  • Facilitate coaching and feedback sessions with trainers and learners, conducting calibrations, ride-alongs, and performance coaching to elevate facilitation quality and learner outcomes.
  • Manage project timelines, vendor relationships, budgets, and resource allocations for curriculum initiatives, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Pilot new learning interventions and iterate quickly based on learner analytics, SME input, and behavioral outcomes to scale high-impact solutions across the organization.
  • Produce clear, actionable reporting and executive summaries that translate learning data into business insights and recommendations for leadership.
  • Mentor junior training staff and instructional designers, providing development plans, best-practice templates, and competency-based progression criteria.
  • Ensure training compliance and recordkeeping for regulatory audits, certifications, and accreditation processes; prepare documentation and support external reviewers as needed.
  • Curate and maintain a content repository of facilitator notes, slide decks, assessment banks, videos, and job aids to enable rapid curriculum scaling and reuse.
  • Champion adult learning principles (andragogy), experiential learning, microlearning, and modern pedagogical approaches to improve engagement and retention.
  • Coordinate logistics for multi-site or multi-cohort rollouts, including scheduling, venue setup, equipment, materials, and travel for trainers when applicable.
  • Implement blended learning pathways that combine synchronous and asynchronous elements to optimize cost, reach, and learner flexibility.
  • Integrate multimedia and interactive elements (video, simulations, branching scenarios) to support diverse learning modalities and increase retention.
  • Conduct stakeholder workshops and governance reviews to ensure curriculum decisions are informed by cross-functional business priorities and metrics.
  • Lead continuous improvement cycles—collect, analyze, and prioritize learner feedback and performance data to inform versioned curriculum updates and curriculum roadmaps.

Secondary Functions

  • Support ad-hoc requests and exploratory analysis of training and performance data to answer business questions and guide rapid content decisions.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum & Instruction, Adult Learning, Human Resources, Educational Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Education:

  • Master’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Adult Learning & Development, Curriculum & Instruction, or Educational Technology.
  • Professional certifications such as ATD CPTD, CPLP, Certified Instructional Designer, or Articulate/Adobe certifications are a plus.
