Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Welcome every customer to the deli counter, listen to requests, answer product and pricing questions, and provide recommendations to promote upsells and repeat business.

- Rotate product using FIFO (first in, first out) procedures to minimize waste, record spoiled or expired inventory, and communicate shrink to the manager.
- Operate, clean, and perform basic maintenance on deli equipment such as slicers, scales, warming cabinets, and salad bars in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Package, label, and date prepared foods clearly and consistently to comply with shelf-life and traceability requirements.
- Restock deli display cases and refrigerated units with attractive merchandising techniques to maximize visibility and sales, ensuring signage and pricing are accurate.
