Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Lead conceptual design, schematic design, and design development phases by creating compelling architectural proposals, iterative massing studies, and clear narrative-driven presentations that align with client briefs and project programming.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality presentation materials (renderings, diagrams, concept boards, and client-facing narratives) to sell design intent and obtain stakeholder approvals.
- Produce and oversee comprehensive construction documentation and technical drawings (plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules) that reflect code compliance, constructability, and coordination with structural and MEP engineering.
- Manage and coordinate BIM workflows across disciplines, maintain model integrity, set modeling standards, and lead clash detection and resolution sessions using Revit and coordination tools (Navisworks, BIM 360).
- Lead interdisciplinary coordination meetings with structural, MEP, civil, landscape, and interior teams to resolve interface issues and ensure integrated, buildable solutions.
- Direct and review technical specifications, material schedules, and product selections to ensure quality, performance, durability, and budget alignment.
- Conduct constructability reviews and value engineering workshops to optimize cost, sequence, and delivery while preserving design intent and quality.
- Oversee permit documentation and submissions, coordinate responses to review comments, and ensure timely approvals from authorities having jurisdiction.
- Provide strong construction administration including site visits, RFI review, submittal review, shop drawing coordination, and contractor coordination to ensure as-built conformance.

- Develop and enforce office standards, templates, and CAD/BIM libraries to improve productivity, quality control, and consistency across projects.

- Drive sustainability initiatives including passive strategies, energy-efficiency measures, and material selection; coordinate with sustainability consultants and pursue certifications (LEED, WELL, BREEAM) as required.
- Create and manage schematic and detailed cost estimates and work collaboratively with cost consultants to monitor budget during design and construction phases.
- Facilitate design workshops and charrettes with stakeholders, consultants, and end users to capture program requirements, test scenarios, and refine project outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to local and international building codes, accessibility standards (ADA, local accessibility codes), fire and life-safety requirements throughout design and documentation.
- Oversee quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes for all architectural deliverables and ensure documentation is coordinated and consistent before issue.
- Research and test new materials, technologies, and fabrication methods; integrate innovative solutions for improved performance and differentiation.
- Lead risk identification and mitigation planning, prepare contingency strategies for design and construction risks, and manage change orders and contract amendments.
- Collaborate with procurement and contractors to advise on bid packages, scope of work, and contractor qualifications during tendering and negotiation.
- Support business development by preparing proposals, participating in interviews, leading design competitions, and producing marketing collateral that showcases firm capability.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulatory changes, software advances (parametric design, computational tools), and best practices to continuously elevate project delivery.
Secondary Functions
- Maintain and update BIM families, template files, and standard detail libraries to accelerate project setup and maintain consistency.
- Support production of scope, fee, and resource estimates for new business proposals and coordinate with leadership on staffing and scheduling.
- Conduct precedent studies, code research packages, and zoning reviews to inform early-stage design decisions and feasibility reports.
- Assist in preparing technical reports, specification packages, and operations manuals for handover to clients and facilities teams.

Minimum Education:
