Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Perform comprehensive diagnostic ultrasound examinations (abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, vascular Doppler, small parts, musculoskeletal) using appropriate transducers and imaging protocols, ensuring optimal image quality for physician interpretation.

Acquire sonographic images for abdominal organs (liver, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, kidneys) and generate measurements, documenting sonographic findings and technical limitations.
Perform specialized exams such as renal Dopplers, thyroid and scrotal sonography, breast ultrasound, and interventional ultrasound assistance (needle guidance) as required.
Prepare patients for procedures by obtaining medical histories, explaining the exam process, assessing contraindications, and ensuring informed consent and comfort.

Educational Background
