Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Lead end-to-end design for digital products, owning research-informed concepting, wireframes, interaction design, visual design, prototyping and final handoff to engineering to deliver high-quality, measurable user experiences.
  • Plan and execute generative and evaluative user research (interviews, usability tests, surveys, diary studies) and synthesize findings into actionable insights, personas, journey maps and prioritized recommendations.
  • Create detailed user flows, information architecture, sitemaps and wireframes that clearly define navigation and task flows for complex multi-step experiences.
  • Produce high-fidelity interactive prototypes (Figma, Framer, Principle) to validate UX concepts, demonstrate animations/micro-interactions and accelerate stakeholder alignment and developer handoff.
  • Design, maintain and scale a design system including components, tokens, accessibility patterns and documentation to ensure consistency, speed of delivery and cross-product coherence.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to define product requirements, success metrics and MVP scope informed by user needs and business objectives.
  • Partner with data and analytics teams to define UX metrics, instrument user funnels, analyze behavior (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude) and iterate designs based on quantitative and qualitative evidence.
  • Run A/B tests and experimentation programs to validate hypotheses, improving conversion rate, task success and other KPIs; translate results into prioritized product changes.
  • Enforce accessibility best practices (WCAG 2.1 AA or higher), conduct audits, and work with engineering to remediate accessibility issues ensuring inclusive experiences for all users.
  • Translate brand strategy into user interfaces that balance aesthetics and usability, applying typography, layout, iconography and motion to strengthen brand recognition and trust.
  • Collaborate daily with engineering to ensure pixel-perfect implementation, provide annotated specs, and support front-end QA to preserve interaction fidelity and performance.
  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional design workshops, discovery sessions and ideation sprints to accelerate alignment and produce evidence-based design directions.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple design projects concurrently, scoping deliverables, defining milestones, and communicating progress and trade-offs to stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior designers through portfolio reviews, design critiques and one-on-one coaching, elevating team capability and design quality.
  • Create and maintain component documentation, pattern libraries and usage guidelines in design tooling and internal documentation platforms (Storybook, Confluence).
  • Craft microcopy and UX writing in collaboration with content strategists to improve clarity, reduce friction and guide users through complex tasks.
  • Lead discovery prototypes and rapid experiments to de-risk product decisions and inform roadmaps with validated learnings before full development investment.
  • Advocate for performance-focused design by recommending interaction simplifications, lazy-loading strategies and content prioritization to improve perceived speed and conversion.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking and trend analysis across digital products and emerging technologies (voice, AR/VR, AI) to inform future experience strategy.
  • Drive localization-ready designs and collaborate with global teams to adapt UX patterns for multi-region audiences, languages and compliance requirements.
  • Present research findings, UX roadmaps and ROI-focused recommendations to senior leadership to secure investment and shape product strategy.
  • Establish UX success metrics and maintain dashboards that surface engagement, usability, accessibility compliance and conversion improvements over time.
  • Partner with marketing and growth teams to optimize acquisition funnels, landing pages and on-site experiences for SEO, conversion and retention.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement and agile ceremonies to ensure design deliverables are aligned with development cycles and release plans.

Secondary Functions

  • Provide ad-hoc design support for enterprise stakeholders, internal tools and partner integrations as needed.
  • Maintain archival of research artifacts, usability recordings and design rationales for future reference and onboarding.
  • Support hiring efforts by participating in design interviews, portfolio reviews and candidate evaluations.
  • Facilitate handoff and knowledge-transfer sessions for cross-functional teams adopting new design system components or interaction patterns.
  • Assist in vendor evaluation and onboarding for external design or research partners, ensuring external work aligns with internal standards.
  • Produce marketing-ready assets and annotated screenshots for product launches and release notes in collaboration with marketing.
  • Help define and refine internal design processes, governance and tooling, improving throughput and consistency across distributed teams.
  • Coordinate with legal and privacy teams to ensure UX flows meet regulatory and compliance requirements (GDPR, CCPA) for consent and data capture.
  • Create training materials and run workshops to help non-design teams understand UX principles and leverage design system components.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Computer Science, Psychology or related field — or equivalent practical experience with a strong design portfolio.

Preferred Education:

  • Master's degree or postgraduate coursework in HCI, UX Design, Design Strategy, Human Factors or related disciplines.

  • 5+ years of experience for senior or lead roles, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end case studies, accessibility work, design system contributions and measurable outcomes such as increased conversion, retention or task success.
  • Demonstrated experience working in agile product teams, partnering with product and engineering, and running A/B tests or experiments that drove product decisions.
  • Prior experience in B2B SaaS, e-commerce, mobile apps, or enterprise product design is advantageous.
