Primary Functions

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive, data-informed admissions strategy to meet short- and long-term enrollment goals, including application, admission, matriculation (yield), and retention targets across undergraduate and/or graduate programs.

  • Own the admissions budget, including forecasting, resource allocation, travel and events spending, and cost-per-enrollment analysis to maximize return on investment and align expenditures with enrollment objectives.
  • Design and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards (applications, admits, deposits, yield, conversion rates, demographic targets) and provide regular, executive-level reporting and actionable insights to senior leadership and academic partners.
  • Create and execute comprehensive recruitment marketing strategies in collaboration with communications, digital marketing, and alumni relations teams—leveraging SEO, PPC, email marketing, social media, content marketing, and targeted print/digital materials to increase visibility and brand differentiation.
  • Implement targeted diversity, equity, and inclusion recruitment initiatives to broaden access, improve representation, and meet institutional diversity goals through partnerships with community organizations, pipeline programs, and affinity-based outreach.
  • Coordinate financial aid and scholarship communications with the financial aid office to clearly convey cost, aid options, and ROI messaging that supports informed enrollment decisions and yield improvement.
  • Serve as the primary institutional representative at national and regional admissions associations, consortia, and professional conferences to benchmark best practices, recruit talent, and promote the institution’s programs.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Higher Education Administration, Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Administration, or related field.
