Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Define and own the multi-year product strategy and roadmap for one or more product lines, aligning product outcomes with company objectives, revenue targets, and user experience goals.
- Translate high-level business goals into prioritized product initiatives and measurable OKRs that drive user acquisition, retention, monetization, and engagement.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a team of product managers and associate PMs — hiring top talent, establishing career ladders, conducting performance reviews, and cultivating a customer-centric product culture.
- Partner closely with Engineering and Design leadership to ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable product solutions; remove roadblocks and ensure on-time releases.
- Own product lifecycle management from discovery through launch and iteration, including requirements definition, PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release planning.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to identify opportunities, shape product positioning, and validate product-market fit.
- Establish and monitor quantitative success metrics (MAU/DAU, retention, activation, LTV/CAC, MRR/ARR, churn) and use data to inform prioritization and continuous optimization.
- Run and institutionalize a robust product discovery process: hypothesis-driven experiments, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, and validation with target customers.
- Create and drive go-to-market plans in partnership with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success, including pricing strategy, packaging, launch communications, enablement materials, and sales tools.
- Own the product P&L or revenue targets for assigned products, working with finance and leadership to model revenue impacts, forecast growth, and manage resource allocation.
- Serve as the primary product representative in executive leadership meetings, board-level updates, and cross-functional steering committees; communicate tradeoffs, risks, and progress to stakeholders.
- Define API and platform strategies, partner with partner teams and business development to scale integrations, and evaluate partnership opportunities that expand product reach.
- Prioritize technical and business debt reduction in collaboration with engineering to maintain product health, performance, and scalability.
- Drive customer segmentation and persona development, ensuring the roadmap addresses high-value customer needs and reduces time-to-value across segments.
- Lead major product launches and migrations (e.g., platform upgrades, enterprise feature rollouts), coordinating cross-functional readiness, pilot programs, and post-launch monitoring.
- Implement product metrics instrumentation and analytics strategy; partner with data teams to maintain dashboards and insights that guide decision-making.
