Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Serve as the primary system administrator for the company's Learning Management System (LMS), managing all aspects of its configuration, maintenance, and daily operation.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of e-learning content, including uploading, testing, assigning, and archiving courses, videos, and other digital learning materials.
  • Manage user profiles and permissions, including creating user accounts, assigning security roles, managing learning groups, and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Provide Tier 2 technical support to all system users, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to course access, system functionality, and content playback in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and user guides for learners, managers, and content creators.
  • Deploy and rigorously test new e-learning courses and modules, ensuring they are compliant with SCORM, xAPI, or AICC standards and function correctly across various browsers and devices.
  • Generate and distribute regular and ad-hoc reports on learning activities, including course completions, user engagement, compliance tracking, and assessment results.
  • Collaborate with Instructional Designers and subject matter experts to ensure that new digital content is optimized for delivery through the LMS.
  • Manage the course catalog, ensuring all content is up-to-date, accurately described, and logically organized for easy navigation by learners.
  • Monitor system performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and collaborate with the LMS vendor and IT department to implement updates, patches, and enhancements.
  • Administer and support virtual instructor-led training (VILT) sessions, including scheduling, creating events, managing registrations, and providing technical support during live sessions.
  • Maintain data integrity within the LMS by performing regular audits of user data, course information, and completion records.

Secondary Functions

  • Support the Learning & Development team in the evaluation and implementation of new learning technologies, tools, and platforms.
  • Create and maintain a centralized repository of training resources, job aids, and support materials for all digital learning initiatives.
  • Assist in communicating system updates, new course launches, and learning campaigns to employees through various internal channels.
  • Partner with the HRIS team to manage and troubleshoot data integrations between the LMS and other enterprise systems like the HR Information System (HRIS).
  • Analyze learning data to identify trends, measure the effectiveness of training programs, and provide actionable insights to L&D leadership.
  • Participate in quality assurance (QA) testing for new system features and functionalities before they are rolled out to the wider user base.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders, such as managers and department administrators, on how to effectively use the LMS for their teams.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the fields of e-learning and learning management systems.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • LMS Administration: Advanced proficiency in administering enterprise-level Learning Management Systems (e.g., Cornerstone OnDemand, Docebo, Moodle, Canvas, Absorb).
  • E-Learning Standards: Deep understanding of e-learning technical standards, including SCORM (1.2, 2004), AICC, and xAPI (Tin Can).
  • Reporting & Analytics: Experience creating custom reports, dashboards, and analyzing learning data using built-in LMS tools or business intelligence software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Content Authoring Tools: Familiarity with common e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise) and Adobe Captivate for testing and troubleshooting purposes.
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and reporting, as well as proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Basic HTML/CSS: Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS for customizing LMS pages, notifications, and troubleshooting content display issues.
  • Virtual Classroom Platforms: Experience supporting virtual classroom technologies like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Webex Training.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree
