Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Design and develop engaging, interactive, and effective e-learning courses and digital learning materials using instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
- Collaborate closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and key stakeholders to identify target audience training needs and translate complex concepts into clear, digestible learning content.
- Write, storyboard, and edit compelling learning content, including scripts for video and narration, course text, and interactive activities that enhance knowledge retention.
- Utilize industry-standard authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline 360 and Adobe Captivate, to build high-quality, SCORM-compliant e-learning modules.
- Create and edit multimedia assets for learning, including graphics, audio, and video, to create a rich and immersive learning environment.
- Develop comprehensive learning solutions that include various formats like micro-learning, instructor-led training materials, job aids, and blended learning curricula.
- Manage the entire course development lifecycle, from initial needs analysis and storyboarding through to development, review, testing, and deployment.
- Upload, test, and manage course content within our Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring proper functionality and tracking of learner progress.
- Design and implement valid assessments, including quizzes, practical exercises, and simulations, to measure learning effectiveness and skill acquisition.
- Continuously review and update existing training content to ensure it remains current, accurate, and relevant to business needs.
- Apply project management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard of quality.
- Champion and ensure all learning content adheres to accessibility standards (WCAG) and is optimized for a diverse range of learners and devices.
- Conduct thorough quality assurance (QA) testing on all learning deliverables to ensure a polished, bug-free end-user experience.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies in e-learning and instructional design to drive innovation within the team.
- Gather, analyze, and incorporate feedback from learners and stakeholders to continuously improve the quality and impact of training materials.
- Produce and edit professional-quality instructional videos and software tutorials using tools like Camtasia or Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Develop and maintain a library of reusable templates, graphics, and other assets to streamline the content development process.
- Partner with the L&D team to analyze learning data and metrics to report on the effectiveness and ROI of training initiatives.
- Facilitate train-the-trainer sessions to prepare instructors for delivering blended learning content effectively.
- Create detailed design documents, project plans, and development timelines to keep stakeholders informed of progress and milestones.
