Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Develop and execute a comprehensive, forward-thinking e-learning strategy that aligns with the organization's strategic goals, addresses key skill gaps, and drives overall business performance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of instructional designers, multimedia developers, and LMS administrators, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous professional improvement.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of digital learning content, from initial needs analysis and curriculum design to development, implementation, evaluation, and ongoing maintenance.
- Champion the application of modern adult learning theories, instructional design models (like ADDIE, SAM), and neuroscience principles to create highly effective and engaging learning solutions.
- Direct the selection, implementation, and administration of learning technologies, including the Learning Management System (LMS), Learning Experience Platforms (LXP), and authoring tools, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the business.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders across all departments to identify learning needs, secure buy-in for new initiatives, and ensure training programs are relevant and impactful.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the effectiveness, impact, and ROI of all e-learning programs, using data to drive decisions and continuous improvement.
- Manage the departmental budget, including forecasting future needs, allocating resources effectively, and negotiating with vendors to ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Lead large-scale, complex learning projects from inception to completion, managing timelines, resources, and cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

- Ensure all e-learning content is compliant with industry standards (e.g., SCORM, xAPI) and accessibility guidelines (WCAG) to provide an inclusive learning experience for all employees.
- Design and implement robust learning pathways and curricula for critical business areas, including onboarding, leadership development, compliance, and technical skills training.
- Cultivate a network of external partners, including content vendors, technology providers, and industry experts, to supplement internal capabilities and bring best-in-class solutions to the organization.
- Act as the primary subject matter expert on e-learning and instructional technology, providing guidance and thought leadership to the entire organization.
