Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Design and develop interactive, engaging, and instructionally sound e-learning courses, modules, and curricula using rapid authoring tools like Articulate Storyline 360 and Adobe Captivate.
- Collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across various departments to gather, validate, and translate business content into effective learning experiences.
- Author and produce compelling multimedia elements, including videos, audio narration, interactive simulations, and graphics to enhance the learning process.
- Develop comprehensive learning materials such as storyboards, scripts, job aids, facilitator guides, and participant workbooks to support blended learning solutions.
- Administer and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), including uploading and testing courses, managing user enrollments, and generating completion reports.
- Apply adult learning theories and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, Bloom's Taxonomy) to create content that meets the needs of a diverse, global audience.
- Create and implement valid assessments, quizzes, and practical exercises to measure learning objectives, knowledge transfer, and skill acquisition.
- Conduct thorough needs analyses and gap assessments in partnership with business leaders to identify training needs and determine appropriate learning solutions.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of e-learning projects, from initial scoping and project planning to development, review, deployment, and evaluation.
- Regularly review, update, and maintain the existing library of e-learning content to ensure it remains accurate, relevant, and effective.
- Design and deliver virtual instructor-led training (VILT) sessions, webinars, and workshops using platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Webex.
- Ensure all digital learning content is compliant with industry standards, including SCORM, xAPI, and accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.1).
- Pilot and conduct quality assurance (QA) testing on all learning solutions to identify and resolve any technical issues, typos, or instructional design flaws before launch.
- Analyze learning data and metrics from the LMS to report on training effectiveness, learner engagement, and the business impact of learning programs.
- Stay current with emerging trends, tools, and technologies in the e-learning and instructional technology space to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Develop and champion brand and style guidelines for all learning content to ensure a consistent, high-quality user experience.
- Convert existing instructor-led training (ILT) materials into dynamic and effective self-paced or virtual learning formats.
- Create structured learning paths and programs within the LMS to guide employee development and career progression.
- Troubleshoot and provide technical support to end-users experiencing issues with e-learning courses or the LMS platform.
- Manage vendor relationships for outsourced content development, external learning libraries, or specialized training tools.
