Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive, forward-thinking e-learning strategy that aligns with the organization's strategic goals and talent development priorities.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments and skills gap analyses across various departments to identify learning requirements and opportunities for performance improvement.
  • Partner with senior leadership and key stakeholders to gain buy-in, communicate the value of learning initiatives, and ensure strategic alignment.
  • Champion the application of modern adult learning theories, instructional design principles, and neuroscience-based learning techniques to create impactful and engaging digital content.
  • Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of learning technologies, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), Learning Experience Platforms (LXP), and authoring tools.
  • Establish robust metrics, KPIs, and data-driven frameworks to measure the effectiveness, engagement, and business impact (ROI) of all e-learning programs.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of e-learning projects, from initial concept and design through development, deployment, and post-launch analysis.
  • Design and govern the overall learning architecture, including curriculum paths, certification programs, and personalized learning journeys.
  • Act as the primary consultant to the business on all matters related to digital learning, providing expert guidance on best practices and innovative approaches.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and innovations in the e-learning and corporate training industry to ensure our strategies remain best-in-class.
  • Create and maintain a multi-year roadmap for learning technology and content development, ensuring scalability and future-proofing our learning ecosystem.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams of instructional designers, developers, and subject matter experts to deliver high-quality learning solutions on time and within budget.
  • Develop comprehensive learning strategies for key business initiatives, such as new product launches, system implementations, and cultural transformations.
  • Define and enforce content development standards, style guides, and quality assurance processes to ensure a consistent and high-quality learner experience.
  • Facilitate strategic planning sessions and workshops with business leaders to translate high-level business needs into actionable learning plans.

  • Instructional Design & Adult Learning Theory: Deep expertise in ADDIE, SAM, Gagne's Nine Events, and other models, with a strong understanding of how adults learn.
  • LMS/LXP Administration: Advanced knowledge of administering and configuring enterprise-level Learning Management Systems or Learning Experience Platforms (e.g., Cornerstone, Docebo, Workday Learning, Degreed).
  • E-Learning Authoring Tools: Proficiency with rapid authoring tools such as Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise), Adobe Captivate, and Vyond.
