Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of a team of instructional designers and e-learning developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Oversee the daily administration, configuration, and strategic management of the corporate Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure optimal functionality, user experience, and data integrity.
- Lead the end-to-end project management of all e-learning initiatives, from initial needs analysis and scope definition through to development, deployment, and post-launch evaluation.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive digital learning strategy that aligns with the organization's goals, focusing on creating scalable and sustainable training solutions.
- Partner with department heads, subject matter experts (SMEs), and key stakeholders to identify performance gaps and translate complex business needs into effective, engaging learning objectives.
- Establish and enforce rigorous quality assurance standards for all instructional materials, ensuring they adhere to best practices in adult learning, instructional design, and brand guidelines.
- Continuously research, evaluate, and pilot emerging learning technologies, authoring tools, and industry trends to drive innovation and enhance the effectiveness of our training programs.
- Design and manage a robust reporting framework to track, analyze, and communicate key learning metrics, including learner engagement, course completion rates, and the business impact (ROI) of training.
- Manage the e-learning course catalog, including curriculum architecture, content lifecycle management, and ensuring all training materials remain current, accurate, and relevant.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for troubleshooting complex issues related to the LMS, SCORM/xAPI content, and other learning technologies.
- Direct the design and development of a wide range of interactive learning assets, including e-learning modules, instructional videos, job aids, simulations, and virtual instructor-led sessions.
- Review and approve storyboards, scripts, and multimedia elements to ensure instructional soundness and alignment with project goals before development begins.
- Develop and implement strategies for learner engagement, such as gamification, social learning, and microlearning, to increase knowledge retention and application.
- Manage relationships and contracts with external e-learning vendors, content libraries, and technology partners to supplement internal capabilities.
- Ensure all digital learning content is developed in compliance with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1) to provide an equitable learning experience for all employees.
- Lead projects focused on converting traditional instructor-led training (ILT) materials into effective blended or fully online learning programs.
