Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Design and develop comprehensive and instructionally sound e-learning modules, microlearning videos, and job aids using authoring tools like Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Captivate, or Camtasia.
- Facilitate engaging and interactive virtual instructor-led training (VILT) sessions for diverse audiences using platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Webex Training.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and departmental stakeholders to identify training needs and translate business requirements into clear and concise learning objectives.
- Apply tested instructional design theories, practices, and adult learning principles to create content that is both engaging and effective for a corporate audience.
- Manage and administer the Learning Management System (LMS), including uploading courses, managing user enrollments, tracking completions, and generating reports.
- Develop comprehensive training materials, including facilitator guides, participant workbooks, presentation decks, and supplementary resources for blended learning programs.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments and skills gap analyses to identify opportunities for new training programs and to ensure content relevance.
- Create and implement evaluation strategies to measure the effectiveness and business impact of training programs, using Kirkpatrick's model or similar frameworks.
- Revise and update existing training materials to ensure they remain current, accurate, and aligned with evolving business processes and technologies.
- Develop interactive elements within e-learning courses, such as quizzes, simulations, branching scenarios, and gamification, to enhance learner engagement and knowledge retention.
- Produce, edit, and integrate video and audio content into training modules to create a rich, multimedia learning experience.
- Provide technical support and guidance to learners experiencing difficulties with e-learning platforms or courseware.
- Pilot and test new training programs with focus groups to gather feedback and make necessary improvements before full-scale rollout.
- Manage multiple training development projects simultaneously, adhering to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards from inception to completion.
