Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle for the deployment of AC Level 2 and DC Fast Charging (DCFC) stations, from initial client engagement and site qualification through to commissioning and project closeout.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including detailed scope, schedules, resource allocation, and budgets, utilizing project management software like MS Project, Jira, or Smartsheet.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including customers, property owners, utility companies, engineering firms, subcontractors, and internal teams (Sales, Engineering, Operations).
  • Lead site feasibility studies, including analysis of electrical capacity, accessibility, local zoning laws, and potential environmental impacts to determine project viability.
  • Oversee the procurement process, including the development of RFPs/RFQs, bid evaluation, vendor selection, and negotiation of contracts with equipment suppliers and construction contractors.
  • Ensure all projects strictly adhere to local, state, and national regulations, codes, and safety standards (e.g., NEC, ADA, local permitting requirements).
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans to address potential delays, cost overruns, or technical challenges.
  • Coordinate with utility companies to manage the interconnection process, including application submission, design review, and scheduling of service upgrades or new connections.
  • Direct and supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring work is completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Prepare and deliver regular, detailed project status reports and presentations for senior leadership and key stakeholders, highlighting progress, milestones, risks, and financial performance.
  • Manage project financials, including tracking all costs, processing invoices, managing change orders, and ensuring overall project profitability.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between engineering, supply chain, and software teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and network management platforms (e.g., OCPP compliance).
  • Conduct post-installation quality assurance checks and oversee the commissioning process to ensure charging stations are fully operational and meet performance specifications.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) to streamline the permitting and inspection processes.
  • Lead project kickoff and closeout meetings, ensuring all objectives are clearly defined and all deliverables are successfully completed and documented.
  • Review and approve engineering designs, construction drawings, and technical submittals to ensure they align with project requirements and industry best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by capturing lessons learned and recommending process enhancements for future e-mobility projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to sales and business development teams during the pre-sales process, assisting with scope definition and preliminary cost estimation.
  • Manage the logistics and supply chain for project materials and hardware, coordinating delivery schedules to align with construction timelines.
  • Ensure the successful handover of completed projects to the operations and maintenance teams, including the provision of all necessary documentation, manuals, and as-built drawings.

  • Contribute to the development of the organization's long-term e-mobility strategy and technology roadmap.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Advanced Project Management: Mastery of project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile) and software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana, Procore).
  • EV Charging Technology: Deep understanding of EV charging hardware (AC/DC), software, and network communication protocols (e.g., OCPP, ISO 15118).
  • Electrical Systems Knowledge: Strong familiarity with electrical distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, and National Electrical Code (NEC) articles relevant to EVSE.
  • Construction Management: Experience overseeing construction projects, including site work, electrical installation, and civil engineering.

Educational Background

Minimum Education:
