Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Act as the primary technical and business liaison for institutional clients, guiding them through the entire lifecycle of electronic trading platform integration, from pre-sales technical due diligence to post-go-live support.
- Provide expert-level consultancy on algorithmic trading strategies, helping clients select, customize, and deploy algorithms to meet specific execution objectives and minimize market impact.
- Manage and execute complex client onboarding projects, including FIX protocol certification, API integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring a seamless and timely transition to our trading systems.
- Deliver in-depth product demonstrations and customized training sessions to traders, portfolio managers, and technical teams, ensuring they are proficient with our platform's full capabilities.
- Conduct detailed Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA) for clients, interpreting the results to provide actionable recommendations for improving execution quality and strategy.
- Serve as the first point of escalation for high-priority, real-time trading issues, coordinating with internal support and development teams to ensure swift resolution and minimal client disruption.
- Proactively engage with clients to understand their evolving business needs, identify opportunities for workflow optimization, and introduce new platform features and services.
- Analyze client trading patterns and system performance metrics to identify trends, provide insights, and recommend configuration changes for enhanced efficiency and stability.
- Develop and maintain deep expertise in the market structure of relevant asset classes (e.g., Equities, FX, Options, Futures), including exchange rules and regulatory changes.
- Lead client-facing meetings to review performance, discuss strategy, and gather feedback, solidifying the firm's position as a trusted trading partner.
- Configure and certify client connectivity via the FIX protocol, troubleshooting message flows and ensuring conformance with our specifications.
- Collaborate with the sales team during the pre-sales cycle, providing technical validation and demonstrating the platform's ability to meet prospective client requirements.
- Manage the deployment of new algorithmic strategies to client environments, including parameter configuration, testing, and performance monitoring.
- Author and maintain detailed client-specific documentation regarding their technical setup, workflow configurations, and customized solutions.
- Drive the integration of third-party systems (e.g., OMS/EMS) with our platform, managing technical requirements and vendor relationships.

Required Skills & Competencies
Hard Skills (Technical)
- Deep expertise in the FIX protocol (versions 4.2, 4.4, 5.0) and hands-on experience with FIX engine configuration, certification, and log file analysis.
- Strong, demonstrable knowledge of multi-asset class electronic trading workflows, particularly in Equities, FX, or Futures.
- Proficiency in analyzing trading performance using Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA) methodologies and providing data-driven recommendations.
- Scripting proficiency (e.g., Python, Perl, Bash) for log analysis, task automation, and developing lightweight client solutions.
- Solid understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, Unicast, Multicast) and low-latency trading infrastructure concepts.
- Hands-on experience with major EMS/OMS platforms (e.g., FlexTrade, Portware, TradingScreen, Charles River).
- Familiarity with market data protocols and providers (e.g., ITCH/OUCH, Bloomberg, Refinitiv).
- Competency in database querying using SQL for data extraction, client reporting, and issue investigation.
