Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Design and develop innovative and engaging elearning courses, virtual instructor-led training (vILT), and blended learning solutions using authoring tools like Articulate Storyline 360, Rise, and Adobe Captivate.
- Collaborate closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and key stakeholders across various departments to identify target audience training needs and translate complex information into clear, compelling, and effective learning content.
- Apply tested instructional design methodologies (such as ADDIE, SAM, and Agile) and adult learning theories to create structured, effective, and impactful learning journeys.
- Create detailed storyboards, scripts, and design documents that meticulously outline the course structure, content flow, interactive elements, and assessment strategies.
- Develop highly interactive elements, complex branching scenarios, simulations, and gamification features to enhance learner engagement, critical thinking, and knowledge retention.
- Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle for multiple elearning projects, from initial scoping, needs analysis, and budgeting to final deployment, evaluation, and maintenance.
- Administer and maintain the corporate Learning Management System (LMS), including uploading and testing courses, managing user enrollments, generating reports, and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Design, produce, and edit supporting multimedia assets, including custom graphics, animations, audio narration, and video content, to enrich the learning experience.
- Conduct rigorous quality assurance (QA) testing on all learning deliverables to ensure they are functional, free of errors, and provide a seamless experience across various devices and browsers.
- Develop and implement robust assessment strategies, including knowledge checks, quizzes, and final exams, to accurately measure learning outcomes and program effectiveness.
- Stay current with and evaluate emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in elearning, instructional design, and adult learning to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Ensure all learning content is compliant with industry standards, such as SCORM and xAPI, and adheres to web accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.1 AA).
- Revise, update, and maintain the existing library of elearning courses and training materials based on learner feedback, new product information, or changes in business processes.
- Facilitate train-the-trainer sessions and create facilitator guides for virtual-led courses to prepare instructors for successful and consistent delivery.
- Partner with localization teams and vendors to adapt and translate elearning content for a diverse, global audience while maintaining instructional integrity.
- Develop and champion visual design concepts and style guides to ensure a consistent, professional, and on-brand look and feel across all learning materials.
- Utilize video and audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Audition, Camtasia) to create, refine, and integrate high-quality multimedia learning assets.
- Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Partner with business leaders to define clear and measurable learning objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) for each training initiative.
