Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

Execute the complete mechanical and electrical installation of new elevator systems, including guide rails, counterweights, motors, pumps, and cab enclosures, according to manufacturer specifications and engineering blueprints.
Read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine the layout and assembly procedures for elevator and escalator systems.
Assemble and install elevator cars, platforms, and chassis, ensuring precise alignment and structural integrity of all components.
Install and connect intricate electrical wiring for control panels, motors, lighting, communication systems, and safety circuits, following strict electrical codes and safety protocols.
Mount and secure guide rails to the walls of the elevator shaft, using plumb lines and lasers to ensure perfect vertical alignment for smooth and safe travel.
Install and test hydraulic and traction elevator machinery, including pistons, pumps, cylinders, motors, and braking systems, to ensure they meet performance and safety standards.
Perform comprehensive pre-operation testing and inspection of all installed components and systems to identify and rectify any malfunctions or deviations from specifications.
Conduct final acceptance testing with clients, inspectors, and regulatory bodies, demonstrating full functionality and compliance with all applicable safety codes (e.g., ASME A17.1).
