Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Conduct comprehensive intake interviews and vocational assessments to identify clients' strengths, skills, interests, and potential barriers to employment.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized employment plans (IEPs) in collaboration with clients, establishing clear, achievable career goals and a roadmap for success.
  • Provide intensive one-on-one career coaching and guidance on all aspects of the job search, including professional resume/cover letter writing, effective job application strategies, and interview preparation.
  • Design and facilitate engaging workshops and group training sessions on critical job readiness topics such as workplace communication, financial literacy, and conflict resolution.
  • Proactively build and maintain a robust network of employer partners through strategic outreach, cold calling, attending industry events, and presenting the business case for inclusive hiring.
  • Actively market clients' skills and qualifications to potential employers, advocating for their candidacy and identifying or carving out suitable job roles.
  • Assist clients in navigating the application and hiring process, from submitting online applications to preparing for various interview formats and negotiating job offers.
  • Provide on-site and remote job coaching for newly employed clients to ensure a smooth transition, facilitate integration into the workplace culture, and promote long-term job retention.
  • Mediate and provide support to resolve potential workplace challenges between the client and employer, fostering positive and sustainable working relationships.
  • Maintain meticulous, accurate, and confidential case notes, client progress reports, and placement data in the designated case management system (e.g., Salesforce, ETO).
  • Monitor client progress towards employment goals and provide consistent follow-up support services for a minimum of 90-180 days post-placement to ensure stability.
  • Connect clients with a network of community resources and wraparound supportive services, such as transportation, childcare, housing, and mental health support, to mitigate employment barriers.
  • Stay abreast of current labor market trends, high-growth industries, and local economic conditions to provide timely and relevant career advisement.
  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, including case managers, therapists, and social workers, to ensure holistic and coordinated client care.
  • Ensure all program activities and documentation adhere to organizational policies, funder requirements, and relevant legal standards like the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
  • Develop and manage a dynamic job bank of current and potential employment opportunities that are accessible to the client population.
  • Arrange and coordinate valuable work-based learning experiences for clients, such as informational interviews, job shadowing, and internships.
  • Assist clients in understanding and navigating complex benefits systems, including Social Security work incentives and public assistance programs.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including job placement rates, wage data, and retention outcomes, to stakeholders and funding sources.
  • Represent the organization professionally at job fairs, chamber of commerce meetings, and community outreach events to promote services and build partnerships.
  • Provide continuous motivation and encouragement to clients throughout their job search, celebrating milestones and constructively addressing setbacks to build resilience.

Secondary Functions

  • Support program reporting and ad-hoc data requests related to client outcomes and employer engagement metrics.
  • Contribute to the organization's employer engagement strategy and outreach roadmap.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to translate complex client needs into actionable service plans and interventions.
  • Participate in regular case conferencing, team meetings, and professional development training to review client progress and strategize solutions.

Education & Experience

Educational Background
