Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Conduct comprehensive on-site and remote energy audits (ASHRAE Level I, II, and III) for commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities to identify and quantify energy-saving opportunities.
- Analyze utility bills, building management system (BMS) data, and sub-metering information to establish energy consumption baselines, track performance, and identify anomalies.

- Prepare clear, concise, and persuasive technical reports and presentations to communicate audit findings, project proposals, and performance results to clients, facility managers, and executive leadership.
- Perform measurement and verification (M&V) of implemented projects according to established protocols (e.g., IPMVP) to validate energy savings and ensure project success.
- Review engineering design drawings and specifications for new construction or major renovation projects to ensure they meet or exceed energy efficiency standards and goals.
- Manage and maintain a comprehensive database of facility energy data, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as energy use intensity (EUI) and cost per square foot.
- Investigate and diagnose building system inefficiencies related to HVAC, lighting, controls, and the building envelope, recommending operational changes or capital improvements.
- Collaborate with facility management teams to optimize Building Automation System (BAS) schedules, setpoints, and control strategies for maximum energy efficiency without compromising occupant comfort.
