Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Proactively manage and respond to a high volume of prospective student inquiries via phone, email, text, and virtual meetings in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct in-depth consultative interviews to understand each prospective student's unique background, motivations, and career goals to effectively align them with suitable academic programs.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on all institutional programs, policies, procedures, and student outcomes, providing accurate and compelling information to applicants.
  • Guide students meticulously through every stage of the admissions funnel, from the initial application and document submission to financial aid counseling and final registration.
  • Develop and maintain strong, lasting relationships with prospective students and their families to build trust and facilitate a smooth enrollment experience.
  • Consistently meet and exceed established weekly, monthly, and quarterly enrollment targets and performance metrics through strategic outreach and follow-up.
  • Utilize the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (e.g., Salesforce, Slate) to diligently track all interactions, manage student pipelines, and maintain data integrity.
  • Execute a structured communication plan, including scheduled follow-ups and personalized outreach, to nurture leads and re-engage inactive prospects.
  • Represent the institution with professionalism and enthusiasm during virtual and in-person recruitment events, such as open houses, information sessions, and college fairs.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Aid department to assist students in understanding their funding options, completing the FAFSA, and navigating the financial aid process.
  • Review application materials to ensure all required documentation is received and meets institutional standards for admission.
  • Conduct campus tours or virtual walk-throughs, showcasing facilities and articulating the unique value proposition of the student experience.
  • Overcome applicant objections and concerns by providing empathetic, solution-oriented guidance and transparent information.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes within higher education admissions.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging presentations to diverse audiences of prospective students, parents, and high school counselors.

Secondary Functions

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to provide feedback on the effectiveness of lead generation campaigns and suggest improvements for recruitment materials.
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of on-campus and virtual recruitment events to attract and engage prospective students.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance product knowledge, refine sales techniques, and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Generate regular reports on recruitment activities, pipeline status, and enrollment forecasting for admissions leadership.
  • Mentor and support new enrollment representatives, sharing best practices and institutional knowledge.
  • Support ad-hoc data requests and exploratory data analysis to identify trends in student recruitment.
  • Contribute to the organization's data strategy and roadmap by ensuring high-quality data entry.
  • Participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies within the admissions and marketing teams.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
