Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Lead and facilitate dynamic, interactive workshops and training sessions for diverse audiences, ensuring active participation and achievement of learning objectives.
  • Guide large-scale meetings, conferences, and town halls, maintaining energy, focus, and a clear narrative flow from start to finish.
  • Expertly moderate panel discussions and Q&A sessions, ensuring a balanced conversation, insightful questions, and effective time management.
  • Design and structure compelling event agendas and session flows in collaboration with content owners to maximize engagement and impact.

  • Ensure all event technology, from microphones and projectors to virtual platform features, is functioning correctly and used effectively to enhance the experience.
  • Conduct pre-event "dry runs" and technical rehearsals with speakers, panelists, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and readiness.

Secondary Functions

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders during the planning phase to deeply understand and help define event goals, audience needs, and desired outcomes.
  • Contribute to the creation of a central repository of facilitation best practices, tools, and resources for broader organizational use.
  • Gather, synthesize, and analyze post-event feedback from surveys and direct observation to generate reports with actionable recommendations for future improvement.
  • Support the event logistics team with on-the-ground coordination and problem-solving as required to ensure a seamless attendee experience.
  • Stay current on emerging industry trends, new technologies, and innovative methodologies in event facilitation and audience engagement.
  • Assist in the development and preparation of event materials, including presentations, digital workbooks, handouts, and activity supplies.

  • Video Conferencing Expertise: Deep knowledge of advanced features in Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Webex, including breakout rooms, polling, and webinar management.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent demonstrated practical experience in a professional facilitation role.

Preferred Education:

Master's Degree in a relevant field and/or professional certification in facilitation (e.g., CPF - Certified Professional Facilitator, CMF - Certified Master Facilitator).
