Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Photograph high-quality, compelling images at a wide range of company and client events, including conferences, trade shows, product launches, corporate parties, and award ceremonies.
- Capture a dynamic mix of candid moments, posed group shots, speaker presentations, attendee interactions, and environmental/décor details to tell a comprehensive visual story.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing and events team to fully understand the creative brief, key shot list, brand aesthetic, and specific photographic goals for each event.
- Manage the entire on-site photography workflow, including the efficient setup, operation, and breakdown of all professional camera, lighting, and backdrop equipment.
- Perform pre-event site visits or digital walkthroughs to assess lighting conditions, venue layouts, and potential shooting angles to meticulously plan your photographic approach.
- Expertly edit, retouch, color-correct, and crop a high volume of images to ensure they meet the highest professional standards and are consistent with our brand guidelines.
- Organize, keyword, and archive all digital photo assets within our Digital Asset Management (DAM) system for easy retrieval and use by global teams.
- Deliver a curated selection of "hero" images on an expedited timeline, often within 24 hours of an event, for immediate use in press releases, social media, and post-event communications.
- Proactively and professionally direct individuals and groups for posed photographs, ensuring subjects feel comfortable, engaged, and look their best.
- Work discreetly and courteously, blending into the event environment to capture authentic moments without disrupting the flow of the event or the guest experience.
- Maintain, clean, and manage all company-owned photography equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting, and software, ensuring it is in perfect working order.
- Stay current with the latest photography trends, post-production techniques, and innovative equipment to continuously elevate the quality and creativity of our visual content.
- Provide expert recommendations on photographic approaches, styles, and deliverables to best achieve specific marketing, communications, or brand objectives.
- Liaise with event managers, clients, and key stakeholders before, during, and after events to ensure all photographic requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Prepare and transport all necessary photography and lighting equipment to various event locations, which may include local, domestic, and occasionally international travel.
- Adhere to strict post-production schedules and delivery deadlines, managing workflows efficiently to handle multiple, often overlapping, projects.
- Capture high-quality architectural and branding shots of the event space, including signage, sponsor activations, and stage design, before guests arrive.
- Ensure all key moments, VIPs, and brand activations outlined in the official shot list are captured thoroughly and creatively.
- Select, process, and export final image sets in various resolutions and formats optimized for web, print, and social media platforms.
- Troubleshoot and adeptly resolve any technical issues with camera gear, lighting, or data transfer that may arise during a high-pressure live event.
Secondary Functions
- Assist the creative team with in-studio photography, such as employee headshots, executive portraits, and product photos, during non-event periods.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of the organization's brand photography style guide to ensure visual consistency.

Required Skills & Competencies
Hard Skills (Technical)
- Expert-level proficiency with professional DSLR and mirrorless camera systems (e.g., Canon, Nikon, Sony).
- Advanced knowledge of on-camera and off-camera lighting techniques, including the use of strobes, speedlights, modifiers, and LED panels in various environments.
- Mastery of photo editing and workflow software, specifically Adobe Lightroom Classic and Adobe Photoshop.
- Proven experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) platforms and systematic file organization, keywording, and metadata tagging.
- Strong technical understanding of composition, exposure, focus, color theory, and other core principles of photography.
- Familiarity with tethered shooting workflows for studio or on-location work requiring real-time image review.
