Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Actively monitor candidates during the examination, both in-person and via surveillance systems, to prevent any form of academic dishonesty or cheating.
- Meticulously verify test-taker identification documents against the official roster to ensure the identity of each candidate before they enter the testing area.
- Enforce all testing policies and procedures with fairness and consistency, addressing any potential violations according to established protocols.

- Respond to candidate inquiries regarding testing procedures and rules without providing any assistance, hints, or clarification on exam content.
- Maintain a professional and authoritative presence to deter misconduct while remaining approachable and supportive to reduce candidate anxiety.

- Escort candidates on scheduled and unscheduled breaks, such as restroom visits, ensuring no communication or access to prohibited items occurs.
- Manage time for the testing session accurately, providing candidates with regular time-remaining announcements as permitted by exam rules.
- Adhere to the specific guidelines and regulations of various testing agencies (e.g., Pearson VUE, ETS, Prometric) for which exams are being administered.
Secondary Functions
- Document all testing session activities with precision, including start/end times, candidate attendance, and any observed irregularities or incidents.
- Prepare detailed incident reports for any breaches of test security, candidate misconduct, or environmental issues that may affect test validity.
- Set up the testing room according to specific exam requirements, including arranging seating, preparing computer workstations, and posting necessary signage.
- Conduct thorough pre- and post-examination sweeps of the testing area, including restrooms, to ensure no unauthorized materials are present.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues related to computer-based testing platforms, such as login problems or software glitches, escalating complex issues as needed.
