Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Act as a strategic thought partner and confidant to the executive, providing leverage and ensuring their time is focused on the highest-impact priorities.
  • Drive the "rhythm of the business," including the orchestration of strategic planning cycles, business reviews (QBRs, MBRs), and leadership offsites from agenda to execution.
  • Manage the executive's strategic calendar, not just for scheduling, but for ensuring meticulous preparation, appropriate attendance, and rigorous follow-through on all action items.
  • Lead and manage complex, cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with the executive's vision and company goals.
  • Prepare, draft, and polish high-stakes communications, including board materials, all-hands presentations, investor updates, and critical internal memos on behalf of the executive.
  • Serve as a proxy for the executive in key meetings, accurately representing their perspective, making informed decisions, and ensuring leadership continuity.
  • Synthesize vast amounts of complex information and data from various sources into clear, concise summaries and actionable recommendations for executive review.
  • Facilitate highly effective and efficient leadership team meetings, including strategic agenda setting, pre-read distribution, in-meeting moderation, and diligent tracking of action items and decisions.
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, acting as a primary liaison and point of contact for the executive's office.
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential issues, organizational bottlenecks, and interpersonal conflicts, developing and implementing solutions before they escalate.
  • Oversee the office of the executive's budget, headcount planning, and operational logistics to ensure smooth, efficient, and fiscally responsible functioning.
  • Triage and manage the flow of information to and from the executive, ensuring they are well-informed on critical matters without being overwhelmed by noise.
  • Champion and model organizational culture and values, driving key people-initiatives and fostering engagement across the executive's team and the broader company.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on special topics, competitive landscapes, and market trends to inform and shape strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with HR and Finance leaders on organizational design, talent management strategies, succession planning, and long-range financial forecasting.
  • Guide leadership team members to ensure their departmental goals and roadmaps are tightly aligned with the overall business strategy and priorities.
  • Own the creation, management, and tracking of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) or similar goal-setting frameworks for the executive's entire organization.
  • Act as a confidential sounding board for the executive's new ideas, providing constructive feedback and challenging assumptions to improve the quality of strategic thinking.
  • Steer special projects as designated by the executive, often requiring deep-dives into specific business challenges or opportunities.
  • Help prepare the executive for external-facing engagements, such as conference keynotes, media interviews, and high-level client meetings.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

Educational Background

Minimum Education:
