Primary Functions

  • Write, edit and distribute clear, compelling external content including press releases, media advisories, executive statements, bylined articles, op-eds, Q&A documents, and blog posts that adhere to brand voice and legal/regulatory requirements.
  • Create and manage external messaging frameworks and narrative platforms for campaigns and product launches, ensuring consistent key messages, proof points and unified positioning across spokespeople and channels.
  • Serve as the primary contact for media inquiries, rapidly triaging requests, coordinating internal subject-matter experts, and facilitating timely, accurate responses to minimize risk and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Plan and execute crisis and issues communications, drafting holding statements, reactive messaging and escalation protocols; coordinate cross-functional war rooms with legal, HR and executive leadership to preserve reputation and stakeholder trust.
  • Support executive communications by preparing spokesperson talking points, briefing materials, media training for senior leaders, and Q&A documents to ensure confident and on-message media appearances and public statements.

  • Manage social listening and reputation monitoring systems to detect sentiment shifts, misinformation and emerging issues; translate insights into actionable recommendations for communications and leadership teams.
  • Collaborate with product marketing and demand generation to craft customer-facing narratives, launch materials and press kits that support sales enablement and external awareness goals.
  • Develop metrics and dashboards to measure PR and communications impact—including reach, impressions, sentiment, share of voice, media quality, and earned media value—and present regular performance reports and insights to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate external events, press briefings, media tours and analyst days, including logistics, speaker prep, materials production and post-event follow-up to maximize media engagement and coverage.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and disclosure requirements in all external communications and filings, coordinating approvals and sign-offs from legal, compliance and leadership as required.

Educational Background
