Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Provide comprehensive, continuous, and patient-centered primary care services to individuals and families across all ages, genders, and stages of life.
- Conduct thorough patient examinations, including well-child visits, annual physicals, and preventative health screenings, to assess and maintain overall health.
- Diagnose and effectively manage a broad range of acute illnesses, injuries, and complex chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease.

- Order, perform, and critically interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work, imaging studies, and EKGs, to inform accurate diagnoses and treatment strategies.
- Perform a variety of in-office minor surgical and medical procedures, such as suturing, lesion removals, joint injections, and IUD insertions, based on training and credentialing.
- Maintain precise, comprehensive, and timely documentation of all patient encounters, diagnoses, treatments, and communications within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Prescribe and manage patient medications, ensuring appropriateness, monitoring for efficacy and side effects, and educating patients on proper usage.
- Provide extensive patient education on disease prevention, health maintenance strategies, lifestyle modifications, and wellness to empower patients in their own care.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of specialists, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
- Manage a dedicated patient panel, ensuring continuity of care through proactive follow-ups, chronic care management, and accessible communication.
- Address the psychosocial needs of patients, providing compassionate counseling and making appropriate referrals to mental health and social support services.
