Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Proactively greet and engage every client, creating a welcoming and memorable luxury service experience from the moment they enter the store.
  • Drive and exceed individual sales goals and other key performance indicators (KPIs) such as units per transaction (UPT) and average dollar sale (ADS).
  • Cultivate and nurture long-term client relationships through diligent use of clienteling tools, including personalized follow-ups, appointment scheduling, and notifying clients of new arrivals.
  • Provide expert styling and wardrobing advice, demonstrating a comprehensive knowledge of the brand's collections, fits, and fabrications.
  • Act as a passionate brand ambassador, eloquently communicating the brand's heritage, craftsmanship, and seasonal inspirations to clients.
  • Maintain an organized and detailed client book, meticulously tracking client preferences, purchase history, and important personal dates.
  • Execute point-of-sale (POS) transactions with precision and efficiency, handling cash, credit card, and mobile payments while adhering to all company policies.
  • Assist in maintaining the store's visual presentation, ensuring that merchandising displays are immaculate, aesthetically pleasing, and in line with brand directives.
  • Actively participate in all aspects of inventory management, including receiving and processing shipments, replenishing merchandise on the sales floor, and conducting cycle counts.
  • Support floor moves, visual merchandising updates, and the setup of in-store promotions and marketing initiatives as directed by management.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all product categories, including ready-to-wear, accessories, footwear, and leather goods.
  • Uphold all store operational procedures, including opening and closing duties, to ensure a seamless and efficient retail environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve store-wide sales targets and deliver a consistently superior customer experience.
  • Handle customer service issues, returns, and exchanges with professionalism and empathy, aiming to find positive resolutions that maintain client loyalty.
  • Maintain a high level of awareness on the sales floor to prevent loss and ensure a safe and secure shopping environment for clients and staff.
  • Prepare and organize merchandise for transfers between stores or for return to the distribution center, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Participate in ongoing product knowledge training sessions and team meetings to stay current on new collections and company-wide initiatives.
  • Assist in cleaning and organizing the sales floor, fitting rooms, and stockroom areas to reflect a luxury brand standard at all times.
  • Proactively seek out opportunities for self-development and performance improvement by seeking feedback from management and peers.
  • Utilize in-store technology, including tablets and CRM software, to enhance the client experience and streamline sales processes.
  • Communicate product and customer feedback to the store management team to help inform buying decisions and identify market trends.

Secondary Functions

  • Support the planning and execution of in-store client events, trunk shows, and new collection launch parties.
  • Assist the management team with ad-hoc administrative tasks and reporting as needed.
  • Gather customer feedback and market intelligence, sharing insights with leadership to help enhance the overall business strategy.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to new hires, helping them acclimate to the store environment and brand culture.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Point of Sale (POS) Systems: Proficiency in operating retail POS software for transaction processing, returns, and exchanges.
  • Clienteling Software (CRM): Experience using CRM tools to manage client data, track purchase history, and schedule communications.
  • Inventory Management: Understanding of stock control processes, including cycle counts, replenishment, and shipment processing.
  • Visual Merchandising: Ability to implement and maintain visual standards according to brand guidelines.
  • Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and fashion terminology.
  • Computer Proficiency: Basic skills in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) for communication and reporting.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

Experience Requirements
