Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Conceptualize, research, and write high-quality, engaging long-form editorial content, including trend reports, designer interviews, style guides, and seasonal lookbooks for our company blog and digital magazine.
  • Craft compelling, on-brand, and SEO-optimized product descriptions for our e-commerce platform, highlighting key features, fabric details, fit, and styling advice to drive conversions and reduce returns.
  • Develop and write persuasive copy for all digital marketing channels, including email marketing campaigns, newsletters, website landing pages, and paid social media ads.
  • Generate creative and platform-specific copy for all social media channels, including engaging Instagram captions, informative Pinterest descriptions, and scripts for TikTok and Reels.
  • Collaborate closely with stylists, photographers, and graphic designers during photoshoots to ensure the written narrative aligns perfectly with the visual direction and captures the essence of each collection.
  • Act as a key guardian of the brand's voice and tone, ensuring absolute consistency across all written materials, from customer service macros to global press releases.
  • Conduct in-depth keyword research and apply SEO best practices to all web content to increase organic search visibility and drive qualified traffic.
  • Interview industry experts, designers, influencers, and internal stakeholders to produce authentic and authoritative content.
  • Pitch and develop fresh, innovative content ideas for weekly and monthly editorial calendars that align with marketing objectives and product launch timelines.
  • Proofread and edit all copy for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style, maintaining the highest standard of quality before publication.
  • Write and edit compelling UX microcopy for our website and mobile app, including navigation links, buttons, and error messages, to ensure a seamless user journey.
  • Contribute to the development of seasonal campaign concepts and messaging strategies in partnership with the broader marketing and creative teams.
  • Stay meticulously up-to-date with emerging fashion trends, industry news, competitor activities, and cultural events to ensure our content is timely, relevant, and forward-thinking.
  • Repurpose and update existing content to maximize its value and ensure it remains accurate and effective over time.
  • Assist in the creation of scripts and storyboards for video content, including brand films, tutorials, and behind-the-scenes features.
  • Manage multiple writing projects simultaneously, adhering to strict deadlines within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Analyze content performance using tools like Google Analytics to understand what resonates with our audience and use insights to inform future content strategy.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive brand style guide to be used as a reference across the entire organization.
  • Write detailed and inspiring collection notes and product training materials for internal teams, including retail staff and customer service.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Exceptional, world-class writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a sophisticated command of language.
  • Proven expertise in SEO principles and keyword research for content optimization.
  • Proficiency in using Content Management Systems (CMS) such as Shopify, WordPress, or Magento.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms like Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or a similar service.
  • Deep understanding of major social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook) and their specific content requirements.
