Primary Functions

  • Conduct covert mobile and stationary surveillance in diverse environments to discreetly document the daily activities, physical capabilities, and routines of an individual.
  • Perform comprehensive, in-person interviews with subjects, witnesses, and other relevant parties to obtain detailed statements and gather critical information.
  • Draft and submit meticulously detailed and objective investigative reports that summarize all findings, adhering to strict client deadlines and internal quality standards.
  • Secure high-quality, date and time-stamped video and photographic evidence that clearly documents case-related activities, ensuring its integrity and admissibility.
  • Complete thorough scene investigations to document, photograph, and measure incident locations, preserving the context of the event for future analysis.
  • Identify and locate claimants, witnesses, and other persons of interest using a variety of sophisticated databases, social media platforms, and public record sources.
     - Review and analyze a wide range of documents, including medical records, police reports, and financial statements, to identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, and pertinent facts.
  • Conduct in-depth activity checks and background investigations to verify employment status, daily routines, social habits, and personal histories of subjects.
  • Provide clear, concise, and professional testimony in court, depositions, arbitrations, or other legal proceedings regarding your direct investigative findings.
  • Independently manage a personal caseload, prioritizing tasks and deadlines effectively to ensure all investigative objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain constant and professional communication with clients, claims adjusters, and legal counsel, providing regular updates on case progress and significant developments.
  • Skillfully utilize and maintain a variety of specialized surveillance equipment, including high-definition video cameras, digital recorders, and covert recording devices.
  • Operate a company-provided vehicle safely and responsibly while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies during extended periods of surveillance.
  • Conduct comprehensive social media and internet investigations (OSINT) to uncover publicly available information relevant to a subject's activities, lifestyle, and connections.
  • Ensure all investigative activities are conducted in a legal and ethical manner, complying with all federal, state, and local laws, including FCRA, GLBA, and privacy statutes.
  • Upload all video, photographic, and document evidence to a centralized case management system in an organized and timely fashion, maintaining the chain of custody.
  • Develop and execute strategic investigative plans tailored to the specific objectives and complexities of each individual case assignment.
  • Perform neighborhood canvasses and discreet inquiries to gather background information and identify potential witnesses or other knowledgeable parties.
  • Submit detailed and accurate expense reports and time logs, accounting for all case-related expenditures and billable hours per company and client guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) or legal departments, to strategize on complex or high-exposure cases.
  • Secure legally sound recorded or written statements from individuals, ensuring all requirements for consent and proper documentation are meticulously met.
  • Stay current on industry trends, evolving investigative techniques, changes in privacy laws, and new technologies to maintain a high level of professional competence.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot company-provided surveillance equipment, ensuring it is always in proper working order for field deployment.
