Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Provide direct, on-site leadership, mentorship, and daily supervision to a team of field technicians, operators, or craftspeople.
- Organize and lead daily team meetings, including pre-job briefings, toolbox talks, and safety huddles to align the crew on daily objectives and safety protocols.
- Act as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors, ensuring clear communication and managing expectations effectively.
- Enforce all company and regulatory safety standards (e.g., OSHA), conduct regular site safety inspections, and lead incident investigations to maintain a zero-harm work environment.
- Manage and coordinate the day-to-day project schedule, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and in the correct sequence to meet project milestones.
- Interpret and execute work based on technical documents, including blueprints, engineering drawings, project plans, and work orders.
- Conduct rigorous quality control checks throughout the project lifecycle to ensure all work meets or exceeds company and client quality standards.
- Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical, logistical, and personnel issues that arise in the field, minimizing delays and impact on the project.
- Train, coach, and develop field team members, identifying skill gaps and providing opportunities for growth and performance improvement.
- Manage the allocation and use of on-site resources, including personnel, equipment, vehicles, and materials, to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Complete and submit accurate, detailed daily field reports, progress logs, safety documentation, and employee timesheets in a timely manner.
- Coordinate site logistics, including the timely delivery of materials, equipment mobilization, and effective staging of the work area.
- Oversee the proper use, care, and routine maintenance of all company tools, equipment, and vehicles assigned to the field team.
- Facilitate seamless communication and information flow between the field crew and the office-based project management team.
- Perform hands-on work alongside the team when necessary to meet deadlines, train staff, or demonstrate proper techniques.

Secondary Functions

Required Skills & Competencies
Hard Skills (Technical)
- Project Management Software: Proficiency in field management software such as Procore, Fieldwire, or similar platforms for daily reporting and project tracking.
- Safety Certifications: OSHA 30 certification is highly preferred; at a minimum, a strong working knowledge of OSHA standards is required. First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.
- Blueprint & Schematic Reading: Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and work from complex construction drawings, technical diagrams, and project plans.
- Technical Reporting: Skill in creating clear, concise, and accurate daily reports, incident reports, and progress updates for management and clients.
- Quality Assurance/Control (QA/QC): Experience in implementing and documenting quality control processes to ensure adherence to specifications.

Experience Requirements
Typical Experience Range:

Preferred:
