Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Proactively identify, prospect, and qualify new business opportunities within an assigned geographic territory to build and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic territory plan designed to achieve and consistently exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas.
  • Conduct high-impact, in-person and virtual sales presentations and product demonstrations to key decision-makers, from C-level executives to technical stakeholders.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and identifying upsell or cross-sell opportunities.
  • Achieve mastery of the company's product suite and value proposition, effectively articulating how our solutions address specific customer pain points and deliver a strong return on investment.
  • Expertly manage the entire sales cycle from initial lead generation and qualification through discovery, negotiation, contract execution, and successful closing.
  • Diligently and accurately log all sales activities, customer interactions, pipeline progression, and forecasting data in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce) to ensure data integrity.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams—including marketing, product management, and customer support—to ensure a seamless customer experience and provide valuable market feedback.
  • Stay consistently informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to strategically position our offerings and maintain a distinct competitive edge.
  • Travel extensively throughout the assigned territory to meet with prospective and existing clients, building rapport and trust through essential face-to-face interaction.
  • Prepare and present professional, tailored sales proposals, quotes, and contracts that directly address the specific needs and objectives of each client.
  • Attend and professionally represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to generate new leads and enhance brand visibility.
  • Provide accurate and reliable weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales forecasts to sales management, clearly communicating risks and opportunities within the pipeline.
  • Conduct thorough needs analysis and discovery sessions to deeply understand a prospect's business challenges, strategic goals, and critical buying criteria.
  • Skillfully negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with clients to secure profitable agreements while preserving positive, long-term business relationships.
  • Coordinate with the implementation and customer success teams to ensure a smooth and successful onboarding for new clients.

  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and objections with professionalism and expertise, adeptly overcoming hurdles in the sales process to advance opportunities.
  • Act as a brand ambassador in every interaction, consistently upholding the company's values, ethics, and professional standards.
  • Analyze personal sales data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and continuously refine sales strategies for greater success.
  • Participate actively in regular sales meetings and ongoing training sessions to continuously develop product knowledge and sharpen sales skills.

Secondary Functions

  • Prepare and submit detailed expense reports and manage travel budgets in accordance with company policy.
  • Provide structured, actionable feedback from the field to the marketing and product development teams to help inform future strategy and product roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with the sales enablement team to help refine sales collateral, presentation decks, and training materials based on real-world application.
  • Assist in mentoring and informally training new Sales Development Representatives or junior members of the sales team.

Required Skills & Competencies

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Experience Requirements

Typical Experience Range:

  • 2-5 years of direct sales experience.

Preferred:
