Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Proactively engage in business development activities, including prospecting, networking, and sourcing referrals to continuously expand your client base.
  • Conduct in-depth financial needs analysis with prospective and existing clients, gathering detailed information on their financial situation, long-term goals, risk tolerance, and life stage.
  • Design, present, and implement customized, comprehensive financial plans that may include investment management, retirement planning, education funding, and insurance solutions.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships through proactive communication, regular portfolio reviews, and exceptional service.
  • Educate clients on capital market trends, economic outlooks, and the specific investment vehicles within their portfolios, empowering them to make informed decisions.
  • Actively manage and monitor client portfolios, making strategic adjustments as necessary in response to market changes or shifts in client objectives.
  • Master a broad range of financial products and services, including mutual funds, ETFs, stocks, bonds, annuities, and life insurance, to provide holistic advice.
  • Meet and exceed established sales targets and business development goals through disciplined activity and effective pipeline management.
  • Generate new client acquisition through diligent lead follow-up, hosting financial seminars, and building a strong professional network.
  • Prepare and present detailed, persuasive proposals and financial plans to potential high-net-worth clients, clearly articulating the value proposition.
  • Maintain meticulous client records and manage your book of business using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) to track activities, interactions, and opportunities.
  • Ensure all client transactions and advisory activities strictly adhere to industry regulations and internal compliance policies (FINRA, SEC).
  • Collaborate with internal partners, such as traders, analysts, and estate planning specialists, to deliver a seamless and comprehensive client experience.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry developments, new financial products, and legislative changes that may impact clients' financial well-being.
  • Uncover opportunities to deepen client relationships by identifying needs for additional products and services, such as lending, trust services, or insurance.
  • Guide clients through major life events, such as retirement, inheritance, or job changes, providing steady counsel and adjusting financial strategies accordingly.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client's unique personal and financial situation to serve as their trusted primary financial advisor.
  • Consistently demonstrate the highest level of integrity and ethical conduct in all client interactions and business dealings.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to maintain licenses and enhance expertise in wealth management.
  • Articulate complex financial concepts in a clear, simple, and compelling manner to clients with varying levels of financial literacy.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • FINRA Licensing: Active FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 (or Series 63 & 65) licenses are required.
  • Insurance Licensing: State Life, Accident, and Health insurance licenses.
  • Financial Planning Software: Proficiency with tools like eMoney, MoneyGuidePro, or similar platforms.
  • CRM Proficiency: Experience using CRM systems like Salesforce for pipeline and client management.
  • Investment Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of a wide array of investment vehicles including equities, fixed income, mutual funds, ETFs, and alternative investments.
  • Retirement Planning: Expertise in various retirement account types (401(k), IRA, Roth IRA) and distribution strategies.
  • Market Analysis: Ability to interpret financial market data and economic trends to inform client strategy.
  • Portfolio Construction: Skill in building and managing diversified investment portfolios based on risk tolerance and goals.
  • Compliance & Regulations: Strong knowledge of SEC and FINRA rules and ethical guidelines.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:
